GRAMMY GLOW Michelle Obama was the highlight of the Grammys–and J-Lo brought us a Motown tribute via the Bronx.

Celebitchy said of Mrs. Obama’s surprise appearance: “It was great to see Michelle and it was great to see how everyone in the audience totally loved her and cheered for her. Second of all, I have no idea how this appearance was pitched to Michelle, but I wonder if she would have said yes if she was told that she would stand up there with that particular group of women. It felt like… yay, a celebration of women, but also: Michelle should have been up there alone, because that grouping was random AF. The other women felt tacked-on, last minute, and they hadn’t even rehearsed anything. It felt like an excuse for Alicia to find some way to stand next to Michelle Obama.

DAMAGED GOODS?   “There is a lack of understanding about trauma, and a lack of will to talk about problematic sex. Because experts don’t want to shame anyone, they won’t talk about it. Many of us have a baseline anxiety in the trauma of growing up LGBT, one where we did not feel safe. Leading us to internalize the idea that we are a threat to ourselves. Leading us to become anxious about our entire being.” Gay Star News talks drugs and being LGBT.

Suspect In Pittsburgh Synagogue Massacre Pleads Not Guilty

Suspect In Pittsburgh Synagogue Massacre Pleads Not Guilty

Robert Bowers, the man accused of bursting into the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh on Oct. 27 armed to the teeth and who proceeded to shout “All Jews must die” before murdering eleven people pleaded not guilty in federal court to a dozen additional charges including hate crimes according to Reuters.

“Bowers, 46, pleaded not guilty to 19 fresh charges, which bring the total number of criminal counts he is facing to 63, including use of a firearm to commit murder and obstruction of religious exercise resulting in death” said Reuters.

The massacre was the deadliest attackon a U.S. Jewish institution in history.

Among the eleven Jewish congregants was a family doctor who served as an erstwhile HIV specialist and treated his patients with respect.

His name was Jerry Rabinowitz.

Shortly after the massacre Act Up member Michael Kerr posted this moving remembrance on Facebook:

“My doctor Jerry Rabinowitz was among those killed in the Pittsburgh Synagogue shooting. He took care of me up until I left Pittsburgh for NYC in 2004.

In the old days for HIV patients in Pittsburgh he was to one to go to. Basically before there was effective treatment for fighting HIV itself, he was known in the community for keeping us alive the longest. He often held our hands (without rubber gloves) and always always hugged us as we left his office.

We made a deal about my T-cells in that I didn’t want to know the numbers visit to visit because I knew I would fret with every little fluctuation and I also knew that AZT was not working for my friends. The deal was that he would just let me know at some point when the T-cell numbers meant I needed to start on medications. The numbers were his job and my job was to finish my masters thesis and get a job with insurance and try to not go crazy.

I got lucky beyond words — because when he gently told me around November 1995 that it was time to begin taking medications — there was an ACTG trial for two HIV medications that saved my life. One of which I still take today.

Thank you ACT UP for getting these drugs into a safe but effect expedited research protocol. You saved my life.

And thank you Dr. Rabinowitiz for having always been there during the most terrifying and frightening time of my life. You will be remembered by me always. You are one of my heroes just like the early ACT UP warriors — some of which I now call friend.”

Among the victims  were two middle-aged brothers, an elderly husband and wife and a grandmother nearing 100. All were cherished members of a tight-knit Jewish community with deep roots in Pittsburgh history.

Gay Trump Supporter Thought to Be Behind Leak of Racy Jeff Bezos Photos to ‘National Enquirer’

Michael Sanchez, a gay Trump supporter and the brother of Jeff Bezos’ mistress Lauren Sanchez, is behind the leak of Bezos’ sexts to the National Enquirer, according to The Daily Beast, which built its report from multiple sources inside AMI.

The Daily Beast adds: ‘No one who spoke to The Daily Beast implied that Michael Sanchez in any way hacked his sister’s phone, and he has not been charged with any crime. In fact, three people familiar with the Bezos-funded probe told The Daily Beast in late January that it had found no evidence of a hack. However, Bezos’ investigators have strongly suspected Sanchez was the leaker since at least last week, according to two people familiar with the investigation. “There is no one inside this inquiry process who doesn’t believe he’s ground zero,” one of those sources said. Abramowitz, the AMI lawyer, appeared to confirm this in his Sunday interview, saying, “Any investigator that was going to investigate this knew who the source was.”’

Adds Jezebel: ‘Sanchez, who previously worked for MTV as its director of sales and marketing and is described by the Washington Post (which Bezos owns) as a “pro-Trump Hollywood talent manager who is also an acquaintance of provocative Trump backers Roger Stone and Carter Page” and a “typical West Hollywood gay man” by LGBTQNation (which notes he and his husband dressed as handbags for Halloween in 2017), has denied that he was the leaker and insisted to the Post that he wants “to clear my name by telling the truth.” He also told the Post that several people at the National Enquirer’s parent company, American Media Inc., told him that the tabloid wants to do “a takedown to make Trump happy.”’

Elkan Abramowitz, who represents AMI CEO David Pecker, told George Stephanopoulos on ABC News’ This Week that the source of the photos was well-known to both Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, denying that the Amazon CEO was blackmailed.

Said Abramowitz: “It absolutely is not extortion and not blackmail. The story was given to The National Enquirer by a reliable source that had been giving information to the National Enquirer for seven years prior to this story. It was a source that was well known to both Mr. Bezos and Miss [Lauren] Sanchez.

Asked by Stephanopoulos if Michael Sanchez was the source, Abramowitz replied: “I can’t discuss who the source was. It’s confidential within AMI, so I’m not going to answer who the source was. It was somebody close to both Bezos and Miss Sanchez.”
