As everyone knows we just barely got to know the Star Trek franchise’s first gay couple before Cruz’s character was killed by the Klingon infiltrator Voq / Ash Tyler.
It was a bit of a shock with many LGBT fans feeling that it was reminiscent of early queer erasure in television.
It also came after a historical moment on the show that some critics said was as profound as Captain Kirk (William Shatenr) and Lt Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) first interracial kiss on TV on the original 1960s series.
In the touching scene: Lt. Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp) and Dr. Hugh Culber (Wilson Cruz) stand side by side at a sink, brushing their teeth in matching red Starfleet pajamas.
It was a simple moment that was understated and profound.
Now we know have known Cruz’s Dr. Culber would be returning since Comic-Con International last summer where in an exclusive interview with fan site Trek Movie Cruz said he was returning and it was not a flashback:
The way you return, would you say it is something they haven’t done in Star Trek before?
Yes. [laughs]
But it’s not just a flashback. You are back in some way. You are interacting, people are talking to you. You are not a ghost.
Correct. I can say that.
The trauma of Culber’s death will be dealt with in season 2.

Now thanks to Rapp’s Tweet we know it’s happening; as if we weren’t excited enough.

Timothée Chalamet Brings Mom As Date To Globes; Rocks Harness And We Are Here For It
Timothée Chalamet went for it or he ripped off Adam Rippon who wore a harness over his tux to the Oscars in 2018 causing quite the hubbub.

According to People magazine “The actor hit the red carpet wearing a custom, sequin harness from Louis Vuitton with an embroidered bib, paired with a shirt, pants and boots from the designer, the team behind the look told People. The harness has black iridescent and purple beads, plus seven different shades of sequins — and a hidden pocket for Chalamet’s phone!”
He finished off the look with four bracelets, two rings and cufflinks from Cartier.
The 23-year-old star walked the red carpet with his mom, Nicole Flender, who wore an open-back vest from Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh with matching wool pants. She and her son both wore clothing designed by Abloh, who was named the new men’s artistic director at Louis Vuitton in March.

Filming A Star Is Born was emotional for Lady Gaga from the very first day she stepped on set says People magazine.
The star, 32, revealed on E!’s Red Carpet at the 2019 Golden Globes that Bradley Cooper‘s attempts to make her be “more present on set.”
“My very first scene with Bradley, I was in my head. Something was going on,” she recalled to host Ryan Seacrest, “[After I said my line,] he said something back to me that wasn’t the line I thought was he was going to say, and I just said my same line again. Then he said something else, and I just said the same line again.”
She continued, “I started crying, I couldn’t let it go … The scene happened as written, and it happened in a much more organic way. Bradley taught me how to be present, had to work really hard to be this character. She’s nothing like me.”
