Michael Cohen: Trump Directed Me to Pay IT Company to Rig Online Election Polls in His Favor

Michael Cohen: Trump Directed Me to Pay IT Company to Rig Online Election Polls in His Favor

Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen responded on Thursday morning to a Wall Street Journal report that he hired an IT company to rig early online election polls in favor of Donald Trump in 2015, and then failed to pay up.

Cohen hired John Gauger, owner of IT firm RedFinch Solutions LLC, for a $50,000 fee which was labeled “tech services” in bookkeeping records, according to the report.

The WSJ added that Cohen failed to pay the full monies owed: ‘In his Trump Organization office, Mr. Cohen surprised the man, John Gauger, by giving him a blue Walmart bag containing between $12,000 and $13,000 in cash and, randomly, a boxing glove that Mr. Cohen said had been worn by a Brazilian mixed-martial arts fighter, Mr. Gauger said. Mr. Cohen disputed that he handed over a bag of cash. “All monies paid to Mr. Gauger were by check,” he said, offering no further comment on his ties to the consultant. Mr. Gauger owns RedFinch Solutions LLC and is chief information officer at Liberty University in Virginia, where Jerry Falwell Jr., an evangelical leader and fervent Trump supporter, is president.’

Cohen tweeted about the report on Thursday morning: ‘As for the @WSJ article on poll rigging, what I did was at the direction of and for the sole benefit of @realDonaldTrump@POTUS. I truly regret my blind loyalty to a man who doesn’t deserve it.’

Sasha Jordon: Newbie

Sasha Jordon: Newbie

So tonight was my first night camming. Literally just went on in the clothes I was already wearing. Just right away. Things went fairly well for my first time, I think? My highest number of people was 50 which probably isn’t actually good in the grand scheme of things, but it’s a start. I got 2 tips. No private shows though. 1 review. I checked and I only made about $2 :/ really sucks but i’m gonna try not to let that discourage me. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I’ll be trying out some new things

Gregg Araki’s New TV Series ‘Now Apocalypse’ is a Hallucinatory Dive into Sexuality, Dreams, and Fame in L.A. – TRAILER

Gregg Araki’s New TV Series ‘Now Apocalypse’ is a Hallucinatory Dive into Sexuality, Dreams, and Fame in L.A. – TRAILER

Gay veteran indie filmmaker Gregg Araki (Mysterious Skin, Kaboom, The Living End) will be hitting TV screens in March with Now Apocalypse, a sexy new series he created, directed, and co-wrote with Vogue.com sex columnist and Slutever creator-host Karley Sciortino.

A new trailer just dropped for the 10-episode coming-of-age comedy series , which explores sexuality, identity and fame in Los Angeles and stars Avan Jogia as Ulysses, a millennial struggling to figure out his life in “the surreal and bewildering city.” The series also stars Kelli Berglund as Carly, Beau Mirchoff as Ford, and Roxane Mesquida as Severine. Tyler Posey plays Jogia’s love interest.

The series’ logline: “Between sexual and romantic dating-app adventures, Ulysses grows increasingly troubled as foreboding, premonitory dreams make him wonder if some kind of dark and monstrous conspiracy is going on — or if he is just smoking too much weed.”

Now Apocalypse is premiering as an official selection of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. Its TV premiere comes on March 10 at 9pm ET/PT on Starz.

HRC CALLS ON SENATE TO REJECT NOMINATION OF WILLIAM BARR AS ATTORNEY GENERAL: “William Barr has made clear that as Attorney General he would not defend and uphold civil rights laws for all Americans — including LGBTQ people,” said HRC President Chad Griffin (@ChadHGriffin). “This nominee is all too ready to follow in the footsteps of Jeff Sessions and double down on this administration’s relentless attacks on LGBTQ equality. The Senate must reject Barr’s nomination, and Senators must make clear to the Trump-Pence White House they will only confirm a nominee who will treat all Americans equally with the dignity and fairness they deserve.” Read HRC’s letter opposing Barr’s nomination in full here. A THROWBACK & THANKFUL THURSDAY — HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHELLE OBAMA! In her book, Becoming, the former First Lady writes about the day marriage equality became the law of the land. “[Malia and I] stood along with all the cheering crowd, off to the side, mind you, so no one would see us, with security surrounding us, and we tried to have our tender mother-daughter moment, but we just took it in,” she said on the Ellen DeGeneres show. “I held her tight, and my feeling was, we are moving forward. Change is happening.” Read more about this thankful throwback from NBC.

Gays and Lesbians Twice As Likely To Have Substance Abuse Problems: STUDY

Gays and Lesbians Twice As Likely To Have Substance Abuse Problems: STUDY

Past studies have suggested that LGBT folks (especially our youth) are more likely to use alcohol, tobacco or other drugs, in relation to their “straight” peers, but not the extent to which it differed.

An abstract of the study conducted by the University of Michigan called the “Severity of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drug Use Disorders Among Sexual Minority Individuals and Their ‘Not Sure’ Counterparts” confirms that substance use disorders are more prevalent—and more severe—among sexual minorities in the United States, said lead researcher Carol Boyd, U-M professor of nursing.

“Our findings provide strong evidence that a higher proportion of sexual minority individuals, particularly bisexual individuals and those who are not sure of their sexual identities, have severe alcohol and tobacco use disorders, and those who are ‘not sure’ also have a higher proportion of severe drug use disorders,” said Boyd, who’s also the director of the Center for Drugs, Alcohol, Smoking and Health.

The study, in the latest issue of  The Journal of LGBT Health, is troubling at best especially as the people who identified as lesbian or gay were over twice as likely to have a severe alcohol or tobacco use disorder, when compared to heterosexuals.

The study didn’t examine the reasons behind the alcohol and drug use, and more research is necessary to understand what it means to be “not sure,” Boyd said.

A depressing piece of data and a surprising finding was “that people who reported having no sex during the past year were significantly less likely to have any substance use disorder,” Boyd said.

Again, due to the narrowness and specificity of the data, the researchers didn’t examine why.
