Grindr Launches ‘Kindr’ Campaign Denouncing Sexual Racism: WATCH
The Vixen, Jai Rodriguez, Joel Kim Booster, Malcolm Robinson, Rakeem Cunningham, Ray (Emilio Amador), and Jasmine are featured in a new “kindr” campaign from Grindr against sexual racism, speaking about their experiences of racism on and offline.
“If you don’t put ‘no Asians’ in your profile, it doesn’t mean you have to f**k Asians now,” says Booster. “It just means I don’t have to see it….For you to say ‘I know what every Asian guy looks like and I know for a fact that I would not be attracted to any of them?’ That comes from a racist place. Because you don’t know what we all look like. That’s ugly.”
“You don’t know what the person on the other side of the phone is going through,” adds Rodriguez. “You have no idea what their experience is, or what else they have going on, or what that comment might do to them.”
Writes Grindr: “At Grindr, we’re into diversity, inclusion, and users who treat each other with respect. We’re not into racism, bullying, or other forms of toxic behavior. These are our preferences, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to better reflect them. Same app. New rules. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Their type. Their tastes. But nobody is entitled to tear someone else down because of their race, size, gender, HIV status, age, or – quite simply – being who they are. Join us in building a kinder Grindr. Express yourself, but not at the expense of someone else. Report discrimination when you see it. Use your voice and share your story to call out prejudice and spark change. Together, we can amplify the conversation and take steps towards a kinder, more respectful community.”

HRC’s Bisexual, Queer, Fluid Pan-ifesto for Celebrating Bi Visibility
To mark Bisexual Awareness Week, HRC’s Bisexual, Queer, Pansexual and Fluid Employee Resource Group recommends some simple steps for honoring the bisexual community all year long.
Studies show that as many as half of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and queer population identify as bisexual — making the bisexual community the largest single group in the LGBTQ community.
HRC uses the definition of bisexuality given by longtime bisexual leader Robyn Ochs to explain the nuances of our community: A bisexual person has the potential to be attracted — romantically and/or sexually — to people of more than one sex and/or gender, not necessarily at the same time, not necessarily in the same way and not necessarily to the same degree.
We are defining bisexual community as including people who identify as pansexual, queer, fluid and other identities that reflect potential attraction to more than one gender.
The Bi, Queer, Pansexual and Fluid Employee Resource Group at HRC believes in and is working toward a world where:
While bisexuality awareness continues to grow, it is vital that we all remain aware of the issues our community is facing. Compared to other groups in the LGBTQ community, bisexual people face striking rates of poor health outcomes, ranging from cancer and obesity to sexually-transmitted infections and mental health issues. Additionally, bisexual youth face a unique set of challenges that affect their ability to flourish in their families, schools and communities.
Check out hrc.org/bisexual for more information about issues unique to the bisexual, queer, pansexual and fluid community.

Anderson Cooper Smacks Down Donald Trump Jr. for ‘Tweeting Lies’ with Old Hurricane Photo: WATCH
Anderson Cooper laid into Donald Trump Jr. on Monday night for a tweet alleging Cooper’s coverage of the news is not truthful. Cooper spent eight and a half minutes debunking Donald Jr’s claims.
Said Cooper: “I debated whether I should even respond tonight to the president’s son. I know he considers himself an outdoorsman and pays a lot of money to be led to wildlife in Africa that he then kills. But I’m not sure if he’s actually been to a hurricane or a flood. I didn’t see him down in North Carolina over the last few days helping out, lending a hand, but I’m sure he was doing something important besides just tweeting lies.”
Tweeted Donald Jr over the weekend: “It’s a shame that CNN’s ratings are down 41%. What’s worse is there’s a simple solution that they refuse to accept. Stop Lying to try to make @realDonaldTrump look bad.”

Mediaite reports: “Cooper clarified that the photo was 10 years old. It depicted his coverage of Hurricane Ike, not this past weekend’s Hurricane Florence. He also played the clip of the coverage, which showed him walking in the water. The president’s son blasted Cooper — claiming the anchor lied by saying Trump Jr. billed the photo as a Hurricane Florence shot. Trump Jr. is correct that Cooper did wrongly state that the president’s son explicitly sold the picture as a Hurricane Florence shot. He did not. Still, the timing of Trump Jr. posting that particular photo on the very same weekend of a major hurricane is highly curious, to say the least.”
Cooper’s segment obviously struck a nerve. Donald Jr. spat back on Tuesday morning:
If you’re going to spend 10 minutes crying about a meme you may want to make sure you’re actually right. Good article as it shows exactly what CNN does daily to sell false truth. t.co/dp9W5SNxUG

CNN doing what they do best.
Crying & Lying.@AC360 says I said it was a pic from Florence
Isaid no such thing.“evidence” CNN provided doesn’t even reference Florence. You guys can’t even fact check a meme.
The illusion created by the pic is illustrative of the bs you sell! t.co/wnRSns1Thf
— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) September 18, 2018
Not surprised @AC360 lied about me on @CNN last night. Par for the course. I never said the pic of him was from Florence.
When I tweeted out the picture of @AC360 it was with a link to an article about CNN’s dwindling ratings. Nothing to do with Florence. t.co/fflwOa10GK

WE BELIEVE SURVIVORS. THE SENATE MUST HALT KAVANAUGH’S CONFIRMATION: “Dr. Christine Glaser Ford is brave to come forward with her story, and she must be treated with respect and dignity. Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination process has been anything but transparent, and now with this grave charge of sexual assault, this process must be halted immediately,” said HRC President Chad Griffin (@ChadHGriffin). “Moving forward with this confirmation process without conducting a thorough investigation would be deeply troubling and offensive to the American people, but more importantly to survivors of sexual assault across the country. It would communicate their trauma isn’t worthy of justice if a person sitting on the nation’s highest court can be confirmed without being investigated for alleged sexual violence.” More from Towleroad, Gay Star News, Washington Blade and HRC.
