Rep. Nick Sauer isn’t the only Republican dealing with a raunchy sex scandal at the moment
It’s been a real crappy week for GOP lawmaker Rep. Nick Sauer of Illinois. But he’s not the only conservative politician to become ensnared in a sex scandal in recent months.

VICE sat down with Jen and Jamie Buteau, the QAnon followers Donald Trump pointed at during his recent Tampa rally.
RELATED: CNN Interviews Delusional Trump Supporters About ‘QAnon’ – WATCH
Writes VICE: “If you don’t follow Q-Anon, the internet conspiracy theory gaining traction among supporters of President Trump, you probably don’t know who Jen and Jamie Buteau are. But if you do, you know they’re the couple who (along with their 17 year-old son) were seen by Q fans as getting a point and wave from Trump at the rally in Tampa where Q went from the dark corners of the internet to wall-to-wall cable news saturation. The Buteaus are from Ocala. Jen is a waitress and Jamie is currently unemployed. They cancelled cable recently to boost the size of their broadband pipe — they follow Q-Anon closely and they believe the whole thing centers around a person or group of people high up in the government who are dropping clues about what’s really going on in Washington. They no longer follow the mainstream media because they think it is, for the most part, lies. After they (maybe) got a shout-out from Trump, they got some fame among the Q set online. VICE News sat down with them in Tampa to find out what Q is all about and what draws them to it.”

Chloe Grace Moretz Slams Rival Gay Conversion Therapy Movie: ‘Queer Movies Should be…Created by Queer People’
Chloe Grace Moretz Slams Rival Gay Conversion Therapy Movie: ‘Queer Movies Should be…Created by Queer People’
The Miseducation of Cameron Post
Chloe Grace Moretz, the star of gay conversion therapy film The Miseducation of Cameron Post, blasted Boy Erased, another gay conversion therapy film set to be released, because it’s “it’s written and directed by a white man, it’s shot through a straight male gaze.”
Moretz made the remarks in an interview with the L.A. Times with reference to Boy Erased, directed and adapted by Joel Edgerton.
Added Moretz: “There’s another conversion therapy movie that’s coming out and you see how that was picked up by a major distributor, they are putting all the money behind it, and you start to compare it. This movie was directed by a bisexual woman of diversity, it has a very diverse cast and we didn’t cast all celebrities.”
Moretz slammed the “major distributor” behind Boy Erased for “backing first and foremost the straight white man who is going to be putting out the movie that’s the safer bet,” adding “They want something that’s a pretty package, but that’s still tolerable and acceptable. And I think that’s unfair. Queer movies should be told through a queer lens and created by queer people.”
The Miseducation of Cameron Post, which won the U.S. Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, is based on Emily Danforth’s novel of the same name. Moretz stars in the drama about a girl who gets caught fooling around with the prom queen and is forced into a gay conversion therapy center in 1993. The film also stars John Gallagher Jr., Sasha Lane, Forrest Goodluck, and Jennifer Ehle. It opens in NYC on August 3 and L.A. on August 10.
Boy Erased is adapted from the memoir by Garrard Conley, stars Lucas Hedges, Nicole Kidman, and Russell Crowe as well as Troye Sivan, who has composed a new song “Revelation” which also debuted in its trailer. Boy Erased recounts Arkansas native Conley’s life growing up in a religious home and being sent away to gay conversion therapy, an ordeal he would survive but which would drastically affect his life.
Check out trailers for both films below:

Omarosa Book Excerpt: Trump’s ‘Mental Decline Could Not Be Denied’
An excerpt from Omarosa’s forthcoming White House tell-all Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House has been released and regards a portion in which the former Apprentice contestant and Trump aide writes of observing the president’s mental decline during an interview with Lester Holt in which Trump discussed the firing of FBI director James Comey.
Manigault-Newman writes that while watching the Holt interview on television, she “realized that something real and serious was going on in Donald’s brain” and that his “mental decline could not be denied.”
“Throughout this erratic and contradictory interview, I kept thinking, ‘Oh no! Oh no! This is bad!’ Donald rambled. He spoke gibberish. He contradicted himself from one sentence to the next,” she writes. “Many didn’t notice it as keenly as I did because I knew him way back when. They thought Trump was being Trump, off the cuff. But I knew something wasn’t right.”
The book is set for release on August 14.

WASHINGTON BLADE’S CHRIS JOHNSON (@chrisjohnson82) PROVIDES THE DEETS ON HRC’S MASSIVE 2018 #TurnOUT CAMPAIGN: HRC is more than doubling its on-the-ground staff — for a total of 130 — in key states and races across the country to mobilize its 3 million members, 10 million LGBTQ voters and millions more allies across the nation ahead of the November midterms. “I’ve referred to some of them as the cavalry,” said Geoff Wetrosky (@gwetrosky), Campaign Director at HRC. “They go where the fight needs to be fought at any given moment … they’re responsible for several states, and if there’s a legislative battle or particular election that’s competitive, then they go to that state and work on that race.” Said Chris Sgro (@cristoferosgro), HRC Communications Director, “The road to pulling an emergency break on Trump and Pence runs through the six HRC Rising states.” Read the full piece from Washington Blade.

FOLLOWING MURDERS OF THREE TRANSGENDER WOMEN, JACKSONVILLE SHERIFF’S OFFICE CREATES LGBTQ LIAISON TEAM: “It shouldn’t take a crisis like this, but because of this crisis, I think the team is an absolute necessity today,” Sheriff Mike Williams said at last night’s forum to address anti-transgender violence that has plagued the Florida city. WJCT’s Lindsey Kilbride (@lindskilbride) reports that since February “four transgender women have been shot in Jacksonville, three of them fatally. They account for about a fifth of the 16 transgender murders nationwide this year, as tracked by the Human Rights Campaign.” Wilson scheduled the forum after more than five months of vigils and protests surrounding the violence, Kilbride reports. Trump Calls Russian Election Interference a ‘Hoax’ Hours After White House Officials Warn of Ongoing Threat: WATCH
Hours after his own officials including Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, said the threat from Russia to U.S. elections “is real” and “is continuing,” Donald Trump lied to a rally in Pennsylvania (above) that the threat is “a hoax” and talked about his “great meeting” with Vladimir Putin, saying “we discussed everything.”
The NYT reports: ‘Mr. Wray and Mr. Coats were joined at the briefing by Kirstjen Nielsen, the secretary of homeland security, John R. Bolton, the president’s national security adviser, and Gen. Paul M. Nakasone, the head of the National Security Agency. Officials at the briefing did not describe specific threats to the coming elections, and they were vague about how the government was responding to what they called Russia’s interference campaign. But they said Mr. Trump had directed them in a National Security Council meeting last week to aggressively confront the threats. “Our democracy itself is in the cross hairs,” Ms. Nielsen told reporters.’
