EXCLUSIVE Video: The Cast of ‘Pose’ Has A Love Letter For Viewers
At its core, Ryan Murphy’s new show Pose is all about possibility. Following the lives of queer people of color in the 1980s, the show explores New York City’s ballroom culture. Eschewing typical tropes about LGBT storytelling, Pose is about triumph — both in front of the camera and behind them.
Employing the largest cast of trans series regulars in history, Pose is already a huge milestone for representation. There are even more trans people working behind the scenes, with more than 140 trans cast and crew members combined. That includes writer and activist Janet Mock, a writer, director and producer on the series.
If that wasn’t enough reason to get excited about Pose‘s upcoming premiere, Ryan Murphy is donating all profits from the series to LGBTQ organizations.
Now, the cast of the upcoming drama is spreading the love. Check out an exclusive look at the cast as they share their uplifting message.
Pose premieres Sunday, June 3 at 9 p.m. Eastern on FX.

HAWAII PROTECTS LGBTQ YOUTH FROM SO-CALLED “CONVERSION THERAPY”: On Friday, Governor David Ige signed into law legislation protecting LGBTQ youth from the debunked practice. “So-called ‘conversion therapy’ is a dangerous and inhumane form of child abuse that has no basis in science and is uniformly rejected by every major mental health and child welfare organization,” said HRC President Chad Griffin (@ChadHGriffin). “We thank the many advocates, allies, parents and survivors who spoke out against this abusive practice and urged their elected officials to adopt these crucial protections. We also thank Governor Ige and the Hawaii State Legislature for enacting this legislation to protect the state’s LGBTQ youth.” Washington and Maryland have also enacted such protections this year, and lawmakers in New Hampshire recently passed similar legislation that awaits the governor’s signature. REP. DANA ROHRABACHER SAYS HOUSING DISCRIMINATION AGAINST LGBTQ PEOPLE SHOULD BE LEGAL: In a meeting with the Orange County Association of Realtors, the California congressman reportedly said: “Every homeowner should be able to make a decision not to sell their home to someone (if) they don’t agree with their lifestyle. We’ve drawn a line on racism, but I don’t think we should extend that line. A homeowner should not be required to be in business with someone they think is doing something that is immoral.” Said David Stacy, HRC Government Affairs Director. “It is unconscionable that in 2018 that Dana Rohrabacher believes LGBTQ people do not deserve legal protections from housing discrimination.” HRC continues to call for passage of the Equality Act, which provides basic protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in employment, access to public spaces, housing, education, jury service and federal funding.
