‘Stranger Things’ Actor Dacre Montgomery Got Nearly Nude For This Audition Tape: WATCH
Dacre Montgomery, who plays aggressive and brash Billy Hargrove on season two of the sci-fi drama Stranger Things, shared his audition tape for the show with GQ.
The rumored “insane” audition tape has generated a lot of online chatter and Montgomery says the Duffer Brothers said “it caused a bit of a stir at Netflix” when it was played at a big board meeting.
In any case, the tape worked and it captured their attention.
Montgomery reportedly got in a G-string and danced around for part of the tape (that part is unfortunately not included):
“I think Billy’s kind of unpredictable nature, it’s not like me. It’s obviously not like me to get in a G-string and do that, so I was like, what wouldn’t Dacre do? And when I heard the music, I was like, well, whatever. YOLO [laughs]. Because I think that’s Billy in every way. I get so self-conscious, so it was a nice reprieve from that, to be able to do that at home, during the day, while none of my family was home, and just go for it, to just have that moment of freedom, and be able to show them that I can have that uninhibited freedom. And I was like, Okay, what better way to do that than to oil myself up, put on a G-string, and… yeah.”
Watch:
Montgomery recently addressed fan theories that his character Billy is gay because of his hostile attitude toward Steve Harrington (Joe Keery).
Montgomery reiterated that Billy’s aggression in the face of other male characters doesn’t stem from racism or homophobia.
“Lucas, unfortunately, is a target. I think … he becomes a target, and I don’t think it’s about race. Just like I don’t think Steve — somebody touched on that the other day. ‘Now is Billy attracted to Steve?’ And I was like, ‘No, I don’t think he is.’ I don’t think it’s like this confused, homoerotic kind of thing. I think it’s literally he’s threatened by all these characters in his life,” he said.

Theresa May Urged To Sack Boris Johnson After New Blunder Risks Increasing Jail Term For British-Iranian
Theresa May Urged To Sack Boris Johnson After New Blunder Risks Increasing Jail Term For British-Iranian
Theresa May is under intense pressure to sack Boris Johnson amid fears that his latest diplomatic blunder could add an extra five years to the jail term of a British-Iranian charity worker.
Already reeling from the Westminster sex harassment scandal, the PM tried to declare “full confidence” in both Johnson and International Development Secretary Priti Patel, who was dragged into a separate row involving Israel.
The Prime Minister defended both her Cabinet ministers for “doing a good job” despite calls for both of them to be fired.
Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was on a family holiday in Iran last year when she was arrested for spying in Tehran, a claim vigorously denied by the British government and her family.
But Johnson told MPs last week that the 38-year-old had been “teaching people journalism” – remarks that have been seized on by the Iranian regime as proof that she was “spreading propaganda” against the state.
Her employers Thomson-Reuters Foundation urged Johnson to “correct the serious mistake he made” in evidence to MPs last week during a hearing of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee.

The Foreign Office refused to retract his comments and said they had been misinterpreted. Johnson will be “calling the Iranian Foreign Minister to raise again his serious concerns about the case and ensure his remarks are not misrepresented,” the FCO said.
However, her husband Richard Ratcliffe told HuffPost UK that his wife was ordered to appear before a fresh court hearing in the light of Johnson’s remarks.
And Labour’s Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry wrote to Johnson on Monday night to say that if Iran increases the sentence he should “take full responsibility in a moral and political sense…and consider your position accordingly.”

Tulip Siddiq, the MP for Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s Hampstead constituency, said she was “stunned by the incompetence of the Foreign Secretary”.
And amid the backlash, Labour MPs called on Johnson to be sacked for his latest blunder. John Woodcock told HuffPost UK: “Boris’s fly by night statements and occasional buffoonery are dreadful at the best of times.
“But in such an important post as Foreign Secretary, it’s appalling that his blunder has possibly extended this poor woman’s sentence. It raises very serious question about his credibility in this role.”
Johnson was already under attack after he had joked at the Tory conference about ‘dead bodies’ in the street hindering Libya’s hopes of becoming a Dubai-style tourist destination.
Meanwhile, May also faced calls to fire International Development Secretary Priti Patel after she admitted failing to tell Downing Street that that she had met the Israeli Prime Minister and officials on a holiday this summer.
No.10 revealed that May had reprimanded Patel on Monday morning in a personal meeting in which she “reminded her of her obligations” to comply with the ministerial code on proper conduct.
Labour’s Shadow International Development Secretary Kate Osamor called for Patel to be sacked.
She pointed out that the ministerial code says that “ministers must ensure that no conflict arises, or could reasonably be perceived to arise, between their public duties and their private interests, financial or otherwise”.
Patel was forced to issue an extraordinary statement of apology on Monday, just days after the BBC revealed she had held a string of official meetings in Israel during a family holiday.
On Friday, she suggested the Foreign Secretary had known of the trip beforehand, even though Downing Street hadn’t. Ministers are required to inform the Foreign Office of any official business on behalf of the Government overseas.
But Patel failed to disclose that she had actually met Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on the trip, which consisted of 12 meetings in 12 days as she was accompanied by Conservative Friends of Israel chief Lord Polak.
The PM’s official spokesman said: “The Prime Minister met the Secretary of State this morning to remind her of the obligations which exist under the Ministerial Code.”
He added: “The code is not explicit in this area. The Prime Minister has asked the Cabinet Secretary to look at how the code could be made clearer in this respect.
“She’s been clear she could have been more precise in her use of language.” But the spokesman insisted that the Foreign Office had concluded that “UK national interests were not damaged or affected” by the trip.
Downing Street could not say why there would be no investigation by the Cabinet Office into a possible breach of the ministerial code.
First Secretary of State Damian Green and International Trade minister Mark Garnier are both under investigation by the Cabinet Office’s ‘Ethics and Propriety’ chief Sue Gray.
Lib Dem international development spokeswoman Baroness Sheehan said: “It is now apparent that Patel knowingly ignored ministerial rules, and that makes her position untenable.
“Just because May’s government is in meltdown doesn’t give the Prime Minister an excuse to ignore this serious infraction.”

John Oliver: ‘Is Trump Smart Enough to Be Evil?’ – WATCH
On last night’s Last Week Tonight, John Oliver caught up on the indictments of Paul Manafort and his business associate Rick Gates, and wonders how Trump could not have known what a shady character Manafort is.
Said Oliver:
“While Manafort may have been gone before the election, Gates, his partner, who prosecutors say had 55 bank accounts – he helped run the inaugural committee and has been a frequent visitor to the White House, so again, the question here is, did Trump know all of this and not care? Or, did he know none of it because he’s incompetent. In other words, is Trump smart enough to be evil?”
Watch the clip above.
Oliver later moved on to George Papadopoulos in the second half of the segment:

Swindon Bridal Boutique Commemorates Remembrance Sunday With Wedding Dress Made Entirely Of Poppies
Swindon Bridal Boutique Commemorates Remembrance Sunday With Wedding Dress Made Entirely Of Poppies
A Swindon Bridal boutique is showcasing a stunning wedding dress made of 250 handmade poppies in honour of Remembrance Sunday.
Charlotte Boswell, the boutique’s sale consultant, created the striking dress for very personal reasons.
Her father served as a pilot in the RAF and her brothers are currently serving in the British army.
It took Charlotte more than 14 hours to make the dress and five hours to present it in the shop’s window display.
“Last year we had a display with a military uniform and a cascade of poppies over an ivory wedding dress,”Boswell said.
“This year we wanted to do something a little bit different while still having a striking window display.”
The poppy dress has gone viral, as a post of it was shared almost 4,000 times on Facebook.
Bridal Boutique has been established in Swindon for 26 years and stocks designer dresses, but evidently likes to get creative too.
The team at Bridal Boutique told HuffPost UK: “We feel very proud and humbled to be able to honour all our armed forces serving and who have served in this creative, fun and poignant way.”
Next to the dress is a small plaque with a well-known saying: “Never was so much owed by so many to so few.”
The dress will be displayed until the 11th November.

HRC Endorses Julie Johnson for Texas State Representative
HRC Endorses Julie Johnson for Texas State Representative
Today, HRC announced its endorsement of Julie Johnson to represent House District 115 in the Texas House of Representatives.
“Julie Johnson is a champion for working families who will fight for every day Texans,” said HRC Senior Vice President for Policy and Political Affairs JoDee Winterhof. “We proudly endorse her candidacy to represent Texas House District 115 and look forward to working with another strong, pro-equality voice in the Texas Legislature.”
“It’s time to choose what our Texas of tomorrow looks like. Will we go down the path of hate and waste or will we make sure that Texas is a place where businesses and all families can flourish?” said Julie Johnson. “This choice demands leaders who put the needs of our state above the needs of any party. We have invested too much time on issues that don’t truly matter to the people of Texas. That’s why I am running for HD-115. I am running to bring back common sense based on common values– to do what is right for my fellow Texans, and to ensure that the ability to write laws in a bipartisan manner is not lost in the Texas House of Representatives. I am pleased to be endorsed by the Human Rights campaign and look forward to working with them once elected.”
Johnson lives in Dallas, TX with her wife, Dr. Susan Moster and their two sons. A long time small business owner, she has spent her career serving the people of Texas and fighting for equality, fairness and justice. The choice between Johnson and incumbent State Rep. Matt Rinaldi could not be clearer. While Johnson will fight to ensure the equal treatment of every Texan, Rinaldi is a hard-right legislator who sponsored Texas’ failed anti-transgender bill last session and enjoys support from some the state’s most egregious anti-equality groups.

Harry Styles: ‘If You are Black, White, Gay, Straight, Transgender…I Love Every Single One of You’ – WATCH
British singer Harry Styles has been under fire in recent weeks for his failure to acknowledge a ‘Black Lives Matter’ flag at his London concert while regularly acknowledging the LGBTQ community.
The 23-year-old is known for waving rainbow flags during his live shows to support the LGBTQ+ community, so fans have started bringing their own mini-flags to join in, too. At his London show yesterday, however, someone brought a BLM flag and threw it on stage and others held up little posters that read “BLACK LIVES MATTER” to hold up while he performed “SOTT.” While Hazza’s opening act, MUNA, saw the signs and held one up, Harry either did not notice the crowd project, or purposely chose to ignore it.
Styles later posted a photo of the crowd at his concert holding up Black Lives Matter signs to his Instagram, with the caption “Love”.
At his Stockholm concert last night he offered some additional words: “I love every single one of you. If you are black, if you are white. If you are gay, if you are straight, if you are transgender, I love every single one of you.”
Harry Styles is too good for this world

HRC PRESIDENT CHAD GRIFFIN STATEMENT ON MASS SHOOTING IN SUTHERLAND SPRINGS, TEXAS: “Our hearts go out to those impacted by this senseless tragedy today in Sutherland Springs, Texas. Whether in an LGBTQ club or a Texas church, gun violence is plaguing our country. Unless Congress acts, no community in America can be safe. Make no mistake about it, what happened in Sutherland Springs could have easily happened in any other town across America. The murder of innocent people across our country should move Congress to realize there is an overwhelming and indisputable need for action. It’s time for Congress to stand up to the NRA. We will continue to demand action until our lawmakers either hear us — or we have new lawmakers.” The tragedy, which left at least 26 people dead and at least 20 injured, comes just a few weeks after a mass shooting in Las Vegas that took 58 lives and injured more than 515. Last year, 49 people — most of them LGBTQ and Latinx — were killed at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Yet, in recent weeks, Congress and the White House have only discussed modest potential steps to address the scourge of gun violence facing the country. Prior to the Las Vegas shooting, Congress was even considering legislation to allow silencers and transportation of concealed weapons across state lines. Common-sense gun violence prevention measures endorsed by HRC include banning access to assault-style rifles, expanding background checks, and limiting the ability for suspected terrorists and those with a history of domestic abuse to access guns. According to Everytown for Gun Safety, more than 33,000 gun deaths happen every year. More from HRC and the Washington Blade.
Whether in an LGBTQ club or a church, gun violence of any kind should move Congress to act. W/ each day that passes, more people will die.

HRC PRESIDENT CALLS ON SECRETARY TILLERSON TO SPEAK OUT ON GLOBAL ANTI-LGBTQ ATTACKS: In a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, HRC President Chad Griffin (@ChadHGriffin) addressed the growing attacks against the LGBTQ community around the world and called on Tillerson to speak out against the anti-LGBTQ human rights abuses occurring in Egypt, Chechnya, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Georgia, Tanzania, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan. To date, neither President Trump nor Tillerson have publicly condemned the atrocities. Writes Griffin, “When you are silent, the perpetrators of this violence see America not as a moral leader — but as a government that will look the other way. In addition, we ask you to demonstrate America’s commitment to human rights by increasing U.S. funding for LGBTQ civil society groups around the world and making it clear to the American people, the international community and State Department staff that supporting and protecting the human rights of LGBTQ people remains a State Department commitment and priority.” More from HRC.
