Blast ‘Consistent With Explosion’ Detected Where Argentinian Submarine Went Missing
Blast ‘Consistent With Explosion’ Detected Where Argentinian Submarine Went Missing
Argentina says a sound detected in the missing submarine search is consistent with an explosion.
The noise was observed around the time the ARA San Juan submarine sent its last signal last week.
Navy spokesman Enrique Balbi described the blast in the morning of 15 November as “abnormal, singular, short, violent” and “non-nuclear.”
It was “consistent with an explosion”, he added. Argentina says there is no evidence of an attack on the craft.
A huge sea and air hunt is being conducted for the craft, which went missing with 44 crew on board.

Lily Allen Hits Out At Piers Morgan In Defence Of Denise Welch, Amid Mental Health Row
Lily Allen Hits Out At Piers Morgan In Defence Of Denise Welch, Amid Mental Health Row
Lily Allen has leapt to the defence of Denise Welch, after Piers Morgan accused her of using his name for press.
The former ‘Loose Women’ panellist reignited her feud with the ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter when she called out his attitude towards mental health issues during an appearance on ‘BUILD’.
Piers later tweeted that “Ms Welch does this whenever she hasn’t been in the papers for a while. And it’s been a while”.
I’ve noticed Ms Welch does this whenever she hasn’t been in the papers for a while. And it’s been a while… t.co/Tfvkb6WL1r

Lol, that you think you’re so press worthy. I️ can think of a billion other ways @RealDeniseWelch could drum up some interest if she was that way inclined. Her incredibly successful son being one of them. Looking forward to Leveson part deux. Times ticking t.co/7QO1dKn6N0

And anyway form someone who’s entire career is based on using other people’s names and experiences bring in the bacon. This is a bit , meh. #teamdeniset.co/7QO1dKn6N0

It was not long before Piers responded, tweeting a picture of them together where Lily gestured to his crotch.
“Morning @lilyallen. I preferred you when you just harassed me in the flesh,” he wrote.
Lily and Denise are yet to respond to him.

Denise’s fresh attack on Piers came as she discussed Piers blocking her on Twitter earlier this year when they clashed over Will Young.
Following the singer’s admission he had suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, Piers claimed he was suffering with a case of “WNTS – Whiny Needy Twerp Syndrome”.
Addressing the matter again on ‘BUILD’, Denise said: “Piers Morgan, as far as I know, does not suffer from depression, is not married to someone [who does], his children don’t have it and he is not medically qualified in a psychiatric department to comment on whether the fuck Will Young has any kind of mental health condition at all.
“What he did in that one tweet was… shut all those people down who don’t have a voice.
“He has six million Twitter followers and it’s outrageous.”
Denise has never shied away from speaking out about mental health issues, having suffered with clinical depression since the birth of her first son – The 1975 frontman Matty Healy – 28 years ago.
As part of her work to help bring attention to these issues, she has co-produced and starred in a short psychological drama that acts as a portrayal of Denise’s own experience with depression.
After it won critical acclaim at various festivals on both sides of the pond, Denise premiered the film on HuffPost UK, and you can watch ‘Black Eyed Susan’ in full below…
HRC Gives Thanks for Your Dedication to Equality and Resisting Discrimination in all Forms
HRC Gives Thanks for Your Dedication to Equality and Resisting Discrimination in all Forms
Following a year of attacks on our community from the Trump-Pence administration, HRC is thankful to our staff, members, supporters and volunteers who stepped up like never before to resist the Trump-Pence Administration’s discriminatory agenda at every turn.
We are thankful to those who rallied on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, at the Supreme Court of the United States, and in statehouses across the nation to demand our Constitutional right to equality, and to push back on discriminatory efforts.
We are thankful to those who rallied at the White House and made calls to members of Congress to save the Affordable Care Act, protect honorable transgender service members from discharge under Trump’s unconscionable ban, and demand commonsense gun safety measures.
We are so incredibly grateful to those who knocked on doors and mobilized in record numbers to turnout the vote earlier this month, resulting in historic wins for pro-equality candidates. Eight openly transgender candidates were elected to public offices in states across the country from Georgia to Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire to California — a clear repudiation of Trump-Pence’s vitriolic rhetoric of division and hate.
We thank you for having the courage to stand up and speak out for what’s right and just. Despite these uncertain times and because of your tireless work to oppose discrimination, we know for certain that the tide continues to shift toward full equality.
With you by our side, we are undertaking our largest grassroots expansion ever, HRC Rising. The bold, proactive campaign aims to accelerate progress in states from coast-to-coast, resist the politics of hate, fight anti-LGBTQ legislation, and fuel pro-equality candidates and initiatives.
We will continue marching forward with you, and, together, we will build our momentum into victories that will end injustices and guarantee full equality for the LGBTQ community.

Magical Moment Boys Are Reunited With Military Dad After Making A Wish To Santa
Magical Moment Boys Are Reunited With Military Dad After Making A Wish To Santa
What started out as simply a fun festive day out turned out to be a very special day for two boys, when they were unexpectedly reunited with their father who had been away in the military.
Declan, 11, and Connor, seven, visited Drayton Manor Theme Park with their mum Abby Gibson, and grandmother, Ann Holden, on 18 November.
Abby had secretly arranged a surprise union for her boys with their dad, Chris, who had been in the Falklands with the RAF.
The boys told Santa they wished their dad was home for Christmas and the touching moment their wish was granted was filmed, capturing the boys’ ecstatic reaction on camera.
“The kids had no idea,” said Abby. “They knew their dad was coming home at some point in November but I never told them the exact date as I wanted it to be a surprise.”
The boys’ dad has been in the RAF for 16 years. Over the past four months, he has had to miss many family milestones whilst serving, including Declan’s first day at high school, Connor’s first day at junior school and his wedding anniversary.
“All I’ve wanted is a hug from Chris and today was the most magical experience. I couldn’t be happier for us all to be reunited once again,” said Abby.
Speaking about the surprise for his sons, Chris said: “I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time. I was very nervous waiting to see them; when I saw the boys in with Father Christmas my heart was racing.
“I’ve missed them so much and when Abby started crying, I started crying! It was extremely emotional and I can’t tell you how happy I am to be home.”
Talking about the plans for Christmas, the dad said: “I’m not sure when I’ll have to return to the Falklands so we’re planning to make the most of every second as a family.
“We’re going to relax in front of some classic Christmas movies, enjoy our tradition of baking cookies and mince pies on Christmas Eve and of course track Father Christmas before bed.”
William Bryan, managing director at Drayton Manor Park commented: “We do all we can at the park to help families create fun and lasting memories.
“Throughout the season we welcome local military heroes offering free entry and we were delighted to help out on this occasion. The day was wonderful and we wish them all well for a very merry Christmas.”
