Likely to feature in a hypothetical list of best nights out of the whole year was a visit to a National Trust commissioned recreation of the Thirties Gay club in Covent Garden – The Caravan Club. No photos inside as I attempted to throw myself into the spirit of the evening, but I took this out the outside where there were blown up versions of the original complaint letters.
