Madonna Savages Donald Trump With Cover Of Britney Spears’ “Toxic”

Madonna put on one hell of a show at Art Basel in Miami on Friday, which included a cover of Britney Spears‘ song “Toxic,” which she used as a platform to rip into president-elect Donald Trump.

Unflattering images of Trump were projected behind her, such as one with his mouth as a urinal and one where his nose grows to the proportions of Pinocchio’s after telling a particularly big whopper – like, say, claiming millions of people voted illegally with no evidence to back it up.

Trump’s words were also flashed on the screen, along with animation featuring the pink elephants on parade from the film Dumbo. Some choice quotes include his promise to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it and his claim that if he weren’t Ivanka’s father he might be dating her.

Trump, pretending to be his own publicist, bragged in a call to a reporter during the early ’90s that Madonna had tried to date him.

Madonna raised $7.5 million to support the charity Raising Malawi during the show, auctioning off some of her personal art collection, as well as costumes and the wedding photo of she and Sean Penn.

Penn made an appearance on stage, handcuffing Madonna, who joked that it was the first time he wasn’t the one being arrested.

Google has released a stunning a new time-lapse video that uses satellite imagery to show the evolution of major destinations around the world over the last three decades.

The images show both how certain areas of the world have exploded in terms of development. They also show the devastating effect of climate change on our earth.

We can see, in these timelapse satellite videos, how the Earth is being torn apart by human acts. We can also see, in timelapse videos of Arctic ice, great glaciers melt before our eyes. Yet, are human beings capable of assimilating such global perspectives or is our consciousness tragically limited to a pre-space age, even pre-Copernican mentality? Are people only capable of acting on immediate, personal and local concerns, even though images from space can show us the bigger picture?

Tom Ford Still Thinks All Men Should Be Penetrated at Some Point – VIDEO

In a new interview with GQ, designer/director Tom Ford stands by previous remarks he made to the men’s fashion magazine of record that all men should experience sexual penetration at some point in there life.

Ford says he wishes he wouldn’t have made the sexually suggestive remarks to his previous interviewer but still believes in the essence of his statement.

Profiling Ford following the release of his latest film, Nocturnal Animals, GQ writes, 

[Ford] sighs. This has been quite a talk. I tell him it had a lot to live up to, considering his last GQ interview—the one during which he propositioned the (heterosexual male) writer. I had no such expectations, but, well, does he stand by what he said? That every man should be penetrated? He sighs again. He doesn’t want to get into all of that. “I was just taking the piss out of him,” he says, adding that he read the article through his fingers when it came out, the whole time wondering, “Oh God, what was I thinking?” He was drunk, he says. He didn’t mean it, he says. Okay, he did mean it, he says, but he shouldn’t have said it.

But Tom Ford is still in there, so he can’t stop himself. So he says this next thing, and it doesn’t come off as lascivious, the way it might have years ago, but thoughtful and aware: Yes, he says, all men should be penetrated at some point. And not as in emotions. He means: All men should be f*cked. “I think it would help them understand women,” he argues. “It’s such a vulnerable position to be in, and it’s such a passive position to be in. And there’s such an invasion, in a way, that even if it’s consensual, it’s just very personal. And I think there’s a psyche that happens because of it that makes you understand and appreciate what women go through their whole life, because it’s not just sexual, it’s a complete setup of the way the world works, that one sex has the ability to literally—and is expected to and is wanted to—but also there’s an invasion. And I think that that’s something most men do not understand at all.”

Anti-LGBTQ Pat McCrory Finally Concedes, Governor-Elect Roy Cooper Will Work to Repeal Vile HB2 Law

Today, HRC and Equality North Carolina issued the following statements after Pat McCrory finally accepted defeat in the North Carolina governor’s race. With a stunning 66 percent of North Carolina voters reporting opposition to HB2 in exit polling, it’s clear that HB2 cost McCrory his re-election bid. According to polling commissioned by HRC and ENC and performed by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, 57 percent of voters put HB2 as the top reason “not to vote for Pat McCrory” — exceeding any other issue by 17 points.

“Pat McCrory’s reign of discrimination is finally over. McCrory’s stubborn and reckless support of HB2 cost him this election, and his defeat sends a powerful warning to lawmakers across the country that targeting LGBTQ people will not be tolerated,” said HRC President Chad Griffin. “We look forward to working with Governor-elect Roy Cooper and fair-minded lawmakers to repeal HB2. It’s way past time to repair the harm inflicted on North Carolina’s people, reputation and economy.”

“Governor McCrory has finally conceded, and now it is time for the state and people of North Carolina to get on with our business of rebuilding,” said Equality North Carolina Executive Director Chris Sgro. “Roy Cooper is a champion of equality and for North Carolina values, and he is the right person to lead our great state moving forward. This was a hard-fought election, but the people of North Carolina clearly know that Roy Cooper will be the best leader for our state. This is a proud day for especially LGBT North Carolinians, who can now celebrate a Governor who cares deeply about our community.”

Between August and Election Day, TurnOUT NC — a project of the Human Rights Campaign and Equality North Carolina — held more than 260 get-out-the-vote events in Charlotte and Raleigh on behalf of HRC and ENC endorsed candidates. TurnOUT NC communicated to members and supporters through targeted social media, door-knocking, phone calls, direct mail, text message alerts and email alerts. The TurnOUT NC program generated more than 24 million impressions online to members and supporters encouraging them to vote for pro-equality candidates. HRC and ENC also released a series of ads targeting pro-equality voters, including “Lennie & Pearl for Roy Cooper,” “Pat McCrory: Bad for Business,” and “North Carolina Mom for Roy Cooper.”

In 2012, Pat McCrory was elected with an 11 percent margin of victory. Not only did HB2 cost McCrory his re-election, it dragged down several state candidates. HRC and ENC endorsed Roy Cooper for Governor and Josh Stein for Attorney General, who both won, as well as four challenger races that also declared victory: Rep. Cynthia Ball (D), Chaz Beasley (D), Joe John (D) and Mary Belk (D).

Instead of accepting the fact that voters rejected his bid for re-election, McCrory launched an all-out effort to throw the integrity of the election into question by lodging baseless voter protests in more than half of the state’s 100 counties. The Republican-controlled State Board of Elections issued an order requiring dismissal of all 52 of those protests. McCrory’s tactics garnered widespread criticism. In a powerful editorial headlined, “McCrory will be remembered for this lack of grace,” The Charlotte Observer wrote that McCrory “and his fellow scaremongers have disrespected democracy…”

Radical Right-Wing Author Hopes Trump Will Remove Stonewall Inn’s National Monument Status

Right-wing author and anti-gay activist Paul Hair (below right) says he hopes Donald Trump will remove the Stonewall Inn’s designation as a national monument because it is a “stain on American history” that “honored sodomy.”

Writing for extreme conservative site BarbWire.com, Hair – the co-author of Hating Jesus: The American Left’s War on Christianity with Matt Barber –  goes on to say that he hopes Trump’s presidency will provide an “opportunity to strike back by working to dismantle the Stonewall Inn in New York City” and ultimately “wipe out its stain on American history.”

Hair says that President Obama designated the Stonewall Inn a national monument earlier this year to “elevate evil.” He hopes President Trump will reverse Obama’s action:

Donald Trump should reverse that designation when he becomes president. And while he likely wouldn’t order the subsequent dismantling of the Stonewall Inn, the removal of the national monument designation would open the way for someone else to do so.

There already is a movement urging the incoming Trump administration to undo the Obama regime’s massive land grab. That land grab included designating the Stonewall Inn and many other areas of land as parts of national monuments.

There’s no reason those objecting to America honoring sodomy couldn’t join the larger movement to undo all the national monuments Obama designated at large. And if that effort proves successful, it then would make it possible to destroy the Stonewall Inn and wipe out its stain on American history.

Hair also declares “The culture war is permanent and peace is impossible.” He admits that while “Dismantling the Stonewall Inn is a longshot” if it were to happen “it would be a great counterstrike against the progressives and their War on America.”
