Pastor John Kilpatrick of the Evangel Temple in Meridian, Mississippi expressed his jubilation over the defeat of Hillary Clinton by screaming in tongues during a recent sermon. And, lucky for us, the whole thing was caught on tape.

Shortly after the November 8 election, Kilpatrick used the pulpit to preach his support of Donald Trump as well as speak about his contempt for President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and all things non-Christian.
“The last eight years, we have had in our government as system that has tried to capture the minds of Americans,” Kilpatrick hollers. “We’ve had an election now! Things are going to open up! God’s spirit is going to begin to move again in America! Shayi yayi yayi yaya! PRAISE HIM! WOOOOO!”

“Shaba bala bata larosa talala!” he continues, sweat dripping from his brow. “Freedom! Freedom again! Freedom! Freedom to lift your voice! Freedom to praise the Lord! Woo hoo! Aye yay yay yay! Hara dasa dada!”
“Spirit of God! Spirit of God! Spirit of God! Spiritofgodspiritofgodspiritofgodspiritofgod!” he adds. “C’mon, church! Woo! Bara rama hamama sama baby yama! …Victory, finally, VICTORY!”

NYC’s puppet spectacular That Golden Girls Show! just extended its stay at Union Square’s DR2 Theatre through the end of the year and they’re planning a holiday makeover for the show that will get you in the spirit of the season.

To celebrate the show’s extension, this week Rose, Blanche, Dorothy, and Sophia were visited by the one and only New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, whose a cappella group Tonewall arranged and performed the Golden Girls theme song – “Thank You For Being A Friend”.

Rally with GLAAD against hate and discrimination in #MyMississippi December 11th

On December 11, join GLAAD, award-winning songwriter Tena Clark, and the Human Rights Campaign for a rally for all Mississippians. The rally will begin at the Mississippi State Capitol and end at the Governor’s Mansion in Jackson. It is a rally to call for justice for not only the LGBTQ community in Mississippi, but for all people who find themselves marginalized, and for all those who wish to fight inequality and discrimination every step of the way.
Award-winning songwriter and producer, Tena Clark, will perform her social justice anthem “My, My Mississippi” as well as deliver some remarks about her home state. The song is available on iTunes, with 100% of the song’s proceeds supporting organizations advocating for the Mississippi LGBTQ community, including efforts to completely defeat the state’s so-called “religious liberty” laws.
In the lead up to the December 11 rally, GLAAD launched a digital campaign called #MyMississippi, which is dedicated to anyone who has called Mississippi “home.”
The song, rally, and campaign is in response to bills like HB1523, which was signed into law in Mississippi, but has been blocked by a judge. The law licenses discrimination against the LGBTQ community and other marginalized communities, as it allows for denial of social and medical services, housing discrimination, employment discrimination for those whose identity or expression is perceived as contradictory to their employer’s religious beliefs, foster care denial, denial of psychological therapy, and for schools and business owners to decide to implement “sex-specific” standards.
If HB1523 does not represent the Mississippi you know and love, please join the campaign on social media. Include the hashtag “#MyMississippi” so your story can help us to accelerate acceptance in the Magnolia State.

- Create original artwork for #MyMississippi and share it far and wide
- Write open letters to local politicians explaining why all Mississippians need full equality and acceptance. A couple of examples of open letters are on GLAAD’s blog, including pieces by Nykolas Alford and Amanda Watson.

We have a name, folks.
The Chicago woman who was recorded going on racist tirade against two black employees at a Michaels store over a $1 bag and another homophobic rant against a barista at a coffee shop in Boystown over a bottle of water has been identified. Social media sleuths have ID’d her as Jennifer Boyle.

According to the bigoted brunette’s now-deleted LinkedIn profile, she attended DePaul University and, ironically, used to work in Human Resources at Sinai Health System:
One commenter on the site You_Twitter claims to have worked with Boyle, describing her as “batsh*t, racist, crazy”:
She is just as nuts in person as this video depicts. From a legal perspective, I am not sure what I am or am not allowed to say; but I will leave it at this. EVERYONE was happy when they found out she was no longer welcome back.
Another person claiming to be a former co-worker echoed that sentiment:
When I worked at Sinai, I was her conduit for all of her mental anguish. On my last day, I warned everyone that was at my going away outing to be careful around her and that she was mentally unstable. After I left, she unleashed on everyone within the department. Even though “I told you so”s feel good for a moment, this is unprecedented.
Sinai Health System was quick to distance itself from the deplorable, posting on Facebook that Boyle stopped working there prior to the Michael’s incident and assuring people that “her views in no way represent those of our organization.”
It is unclear where or if Boyle is employed today.

The first official trailer for the much-talked about Lifetime remake of Beaches is here.
Idina Menzel steps into Bette Midler’s shoes as C.C. while Nia Long recreates the role of Hillary as originated by Barbara Hershey.
The Hollywood Reporter has more on the remake:
The remake will follow CC as she builds her career in Los Angeles, whereas the original took the young pair to NYC while CC made a name for herself on Broadway.
The movie will include new takes on Midler’s Grammy-winning “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “The Glory of Love.” Menzel’s version of “Wind Beneath My Wings” plays in the background of the trailer.
In August, Midler said she “can’t wait” to see the Frozen star step into her iconic role. “Can’t wait to see Idina Menzel as CC in Lifetime’s ‘Beaches!’ ” she tweeted, adding: “DON’T TELL ME THE ENDING!”

Ladies and gentlemen, it looks like we have a repeat offender on our hands.
Remember that angry, white, Trump-supporting woman who was recorded having a complete meltdown, shouting profanities in front of babies, and calling two Black woman “animals” all because she was denied a free bag at Michaels? Well, it turns out she may have a history of that sort of erratic behavior.

In a new 1:48-minute video published by Chicagoist, a woman with remarkable likeness to the woman in the now infamous Michaels video can be seen shouting at two baristas at a Peet’s Coffee in Boystown, Chicago.
“You think because you’re in Boystown you’re safe?” she hisses at the barista. “Corporate’s not in Boystown!”
It’s unclear what exactly led the woman to become unhinged, though it may be because she didn’t have her wallet to pay for a bottle of water.
“You’re the bitch!” she hollers at the employees. “You are the bitch! You are literally the bitch!”

She then goes on to mock the store manager with some overly flamboyant body gestures and then claims she feared for her life because of something Becky, who we presume is the barista working the cash register, had just said to her.
“The way she got in my face was not professional. I actually was afraid for my life!” she cries. “Yeah! Yeah, I was!”

Rachel Maddow took a look at the resume of Donald Trump’s newly announced deputy national security adviser, KT McFarland, on Monday night.
As we reported yesterday, McFarland outed her gay brother to their family while he was dying of AIDS. McFarland also reportedly refused to visit her brother in his final years.
Maddow, for her part, examined McFarland’s spectacularly disastrous attempt to run for the U.S. Senate in 2006 and be the Republican challenger to Hillary Clinton, who sought reelection that year.
But in Trump’s America, experience or actual bona fides don’t really matter.
Said Maddow,
Now, the “upper east side society matron” who was registered to vote at two addresses, who illegally charged her Rudy Giuliani golf games to her donors, who said she was the highest ranking woman in the Pentagon when she was not, who said she was the first female staffer on the Senate armed services committee which she was not, who said she wrote [Ronald Reagan’s] Star Wars speech when she did not, turns out what she did do after that hilariously inauspicious obscure debut in electoral politics, what she did do is she got a contributor gig at Fox News after all of that. And that is apparently enough because now she is about to become the deputy national security adviser to the President of the United States.
Maddow did not, however, make mention of McFarland outing her brother or his comments on his sexuality and in particular what she called his “promiscuity.”
