Alec Baldwin Fires Back at Donald Trump on Twitter: Stop Generating Fear and Doubt

Alec Baldwin blasted Donald Trump earlier today in a storm of tweets responding to Trump’s tweet this morning about the SNL sketch commenting on his woeful lack of preparedness for the job as president.

Said Trump this morning: “I watched parts of @nbcsnl Saturday Night Live last night. It is a totally one-sided, biased show – nothing funny at all. Equal time for us?”

Baldwin responded in a series of tweets:

“Equal time? Election is over. There is no more equal time. Now u try 2 b Pres + ppl respond. That’s pretty much it…You know what I would do if I were Prez? I’d be focused on how to improve the lives of AS MANY AMERICANS AS POSSIBLE…I’d be focused on improving our reputation abroad, including actually fighting for freedom and not just oil…I would make every effort 2 retrain Americans so 2 cre8 jobs. 1 way u make America gr8 again is 2 put it back 2 work…I would make appointments that encouraged people, not generate fear and doubt.”

Jon Hamm Thinks Rumors About His Girth Are “Not The Worst,” Okay?

Jon Hamm Thinks Rumors About His Girth Are “Not The Worst,” Okay?

Jon-Hamm2

People will talk — there’s no preventing it.

And if that’s the world in which we live, perhaps there are worse things than lips incessantly flapping about the girth of your impossibly large and arduous manhood.

That’s what actor Jon Hamm thinks anyway, if not in so many words.

Related: Would You Have A Threesome With Billy Eichner And Jon Hamm?

As US Weekly reports, Jon is just like us, provided we’re all wildly rich and charismatic actors with monstrous appendages swinging between our legs like the pendulum of granddad clock.

“It was a topic of fascination for other people, certainly not me,” he fascinatingly tells GQ Australia, our favorite magazine.

“By the way, as rumors go, not the worst.”

His mood about the whole non-scandal has lightened considerably sincethe halcyon days of 2013 when paparazzi snapped a photo of Hamm taking a leisurely stroll with then-girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt and, apparently, no underwear.

“They’re called ‘privates’ for a reason,” the usually game entertainer fumed to Rolling Stone when asked about the photo back in the day. “I’m wearing pants, for f–k’s sake. Lay off.”

We’ve heard that so many times, but never from Hamm.

This was roughly the same period New York Daily News reported a breathless source claiming “Jon’s impressive anatomy is so distracting [on set] that they politely insisted underwear.”

In related non-news, we wish US Weekly wouldn’t refer to Hamm’s penis as his “Hammaconda,” but life is full of disappointments for the vast majority of us who don’t have the fortunate of being Jon Hamm.

Underwear Models Get Loose, Billy Runs Wild, Beauty And The Beast Gets Real

Underwear Models Get Loose, Billy Runs Wild, Beauty And The Beast Gets Real

Just a handful of astoundingly hot underwear models hanging out on a Sunday afternoon and taking the Mannequin Challenge. It happens.

If sentient teacups and leonine monsters are your thing, presently hunker down to give the live-action Beauty and the Beast trailer your rapt attention. So magical.

Time for everyone to put on wigs and become inscrutable again. Sia belts out over Bollywood beats, and the result is this new track “Never Give Up,” soon to be featured in the upcoming film, Lion.

Billy on the Street has a question for this unsuspecting New Yorker: Immigrant or real American? The results are enviably obnoxious:
Diesel features irretrievably attractive trans models (and trots out EMF’s delightfully dorky 1991 hit “Unbelievable”) in this diverting new ad campaign. Suddenly, $35 briefs sound entirely reasonable.

Mike Pence Says He and His Wife ‘Really Enjoyed’ Being at Hamilton, ‘A Great Show’ – WATCH

Mike Pence Says He and His Wife ‘Really Enjoyed’ Being at Hamilton, ‘A Great Show’ – WATCH

hamilton pence

Vice-President Elect Mike Pence told Face the Nation that he and his wife “really enjoyed being” at Hamilton and called it “a great show.” He told Chris Wallace on FOX News Sunday that he “would leave it to others” on whether he deserves an apology.

But perhaps it’s Mike Pence who should offer the apology to Hamilton’s star Javier Muñoz, a gay, HIV-positive actor. Pence wanted to use HIV/AIDS money to fund gay conversion therapy.

Pence was booed by the audience before being given a special message from the cast urging him to protect diversity and respect the rights of everyone in the United States.

Said Pence:

“I’m a history buff and my hat’s off to the cast and to the extraordinary team.”

Pence told FOX News Sunday that “it was a real joy to be there.”

“I do want to say that the basic element, the center of that message is one I want to address and that is I know this is a very disappointing time for people that did not see their candidate win in this national election,” Pence said.

“I know this is a very anxious time for some people. I just want to reassure people what President-elect Donald Trump said on election night — he absolutely meant from the bottom of his heart,” he said.

“He is preparing to be the president of all of the people of the United States of America and to watch him bringing together people of diverse views, bringing people together who disagreed with him strongly, seeing him talk to leaders around the world. I just want to reassure every American that in the days ahead I am very confident that they are going to see President-elect Trump be a president for all of the people and we embrace that principle. We are going to work hard to make that principle every day that we serve.”

Watch:

Meanwhile, Donald Trump was still ranting about the show this morning:

The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior

GLAAD observes Transgender Day of Remembrance

GLAAD observes Transgender Day of Remembrance

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20, started by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998. The vigil commemorated all the transgender people lost to violence that year and began an institutional memorial that has become Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Today, we honor the lives of transgender and gender non-conforming people who died due to acts of violence. We say their names to commemorate who they were, and their lives which were taken too soon. We also recognize there are names of people we don’t know because of misreporting and misgendering in media stories about their deaths.

Since January 1, we have lost at least 26 people to anti-transgender violence in the United States, making 2016 the most deadly year in U.S. history for transgender people. It is a painful reality but we must together confront and address the epidemic of violence targeting this community.

The onslaught of killings against transgender people cannot be ignored and more media coverage of this hate violence is critical. GLAAD will continue to work to correct media reports which misgender victims and we will continue urging national media to cover the violence trans people face.

When the overwhelming majority of the victims of anti-transgender violence are transgender women of color, particularly Black women, we recognize that the fight to protect transgender women includes dismantling systemic racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia.

The rise and election of Trump has ushered in a new era of hatred and violence directed at people from across different communities and identities, including trans people, which calls on us to stand even more firmly unified against hatred and violence, and even more strongly in support of love and acceptance.

For the friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers of the transgender people whose lives were taken too soon and futures unjustifiably stolen for simply living as their authentic selves, GLAAD mourns with you.

GLAAD’s resolve to defend and advance equality and acceptance and put an end to hate in all its forms has never been more resolute.

If You Could Wake Up Tomorrow And Be 100% Straight, Would You? Gay Guys Sound Off.

If You Could Wake Up Tomorrow And Be 100% Straight, Would You? Gay Guys Sound Off.

The question is simple:

Gay people of Reddit: if you had the opportunity to wake up tomorrow 100% straight, would you want to? Why or why not?

The answers, not so much…

Some people said they would prefer to be straight because life, in general, would be easier:

Probably. I haven’t entered a serious relationship and struggled a lot with my sexuality growing up in the Christian church.

I really think I would. I don’t fit in with the gays. I come off as straight, so all the feminine gay guys want me to pursue them. But my sexuality is submissive. I don’t want a feminine guy I want a masculine guy like me. But it’s surprisingly hard to find that in the gay community. I think I’d rather be straight. It’s just so much easier and simple.

I’m mostly out of the closet. It’s just that normal everyday conversations don’t leave opportunities to explain my sexuality to people without it being awkward. So a lot of people I know don’t know just because they haven’t asked. Plus I pretend to be straight in front of the guys on my hockey team because they’ve been very vocal about how much they hate gays.

Others weren’t as sure:

Maybe if I had the option for an “undo” button. … I would go straight for a couple of weeks just so I could bang a few randos and stop feeling like I’m about to explode with frustration.

I have a lot of straight and lesbian friends. I’ve never really gotten along with gay men, and I’m not really connected to gay male culture. Really the only thing that would change is that I would like vagina. In that case, can I wake up as a lesbian woman?

Oooh. This is a tough one.

Yes because it would make life a whole lot easier. Like I’m dreading the day I come out to my parents, plus I’m still in high school so not exactly working in my benefit.

No, because the straights™ are basic.

So overall answer: No.

And others said they like being gay and wouldn’t change it for the world:

Nope. I mean, I just don’t see any reason for me to want to do that. Being straight is probably easier sometimes, but facing difficulties is very often a good thing. I’d probably have suffered less in the past, but suffering can engender empathy. I like those things.

No way. For all the shit that comes with it–having to hide it from certain people, having to be afraid for xyz reason–it’s part of who I am. And dealing with all the gross stuff has made me a stronger and better person. A lot of people died getting us this far as a minority. I’d feel like I was betraying that.

Absolutely not. Being gay is the core of who I am. It’s led me to some of the best experiences of my entire life. It’s opened my perspective, and helped me check my privilege. While I’ve been discriminated against, bullied, and even attacked for something I have no control over, I wouldn’t change a damn thing.

Now it’s your turn… If you could wake up tomorrow and be straight, would you? Share you thoughts in the comments below…
