Two Trans Models Just Became The Face Of Diesel
Here’s some good news to take you into the weekend: Diesel has just partnered with a German company called “About You” and hired two trans fashion models. Their names are Benjamin Melzer and Loiza Lamers, and they are just about as chic as they come:
Lamers was last seen on the Dutch version of Next Top Model, where she walked away with the grand prize last year. Melzer was on the cover of Men’s Health in Europe, and revealed that Diesel reached out just as he and Lamers were planning a visibility campaign for trans models.
Here in the US, Men’s Health came sooooo close to having a trans man on its cover with Adrian Dowling — but readers weren’t having it and voted for the cis guy instead. Oh well. Maybe some day America will catch up to Europeans.
Both models seem pretty excited about the gig, writing on Instagram: “Proud to represent who we are and what we do.”
For now, it’s a little unclear where their images will actually show up — will they just be on Diesel’s European materials, or will they make it to the US as well? We’ll just have to see.

There’s a giant foam cloud in Santa Clara, California and it’s captivating people around the nation.
The foam accidentally discharged from a fire suppression system at a hangar at the San Jose airport.
As of 12:30 p.m., the foam was deeper than 5′ in some areas.
A KTVU crew is told the foam appears to be some type of fire retardant. A witness told KTVU the fire system malfunctioned when the foam was released.
The foam is blocking several businesses and has completely covered some cars in the area.
Police are at the scene. There seems to be confusion about what to do next, and how to remove the massive amount of foam from the street.
A bicyclist also rode through the foam.

Marc Anthony Is On A Kissing Rampage, And That’s Okay
Hearts and mouths were aflutter after Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez shared a kiss at the 2016 Latin Grammy Awards this week.
Following their duet of “Olvidame y Pega la Vuleta,” the exes shared the intimate moment in front of millions of people. And some noticed.
Anthony and Lopez, who co-parent 8-year-old twins, have remained good friends since thee split. In fact, Anthony’s producing his ex-wife’s upcoming album.

Steve Bannon Praises Dick Cheney, Darth Vader, Satan: ‘Darkness is Good’
Steve Bannon is totally OK with you thinking he embraces the dark side. Because he does.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the infamous white supremacist, former head of Breitbart ‘News’ and soon-to-be Chief Strategist for president-elect Trump said, “Darkness is good.”
“Dick Cheney. Darth Vader. Satan. That’s power. It only helps us when they—“ I believe by “they” he means liberals and the media, already promoting calls for his ouster “—get it wrong. When they’re blind to who we are and what we’re doing.”
It’s the Bannon theme, the myopia of the media, that it tells only the story that confirms its own view, that in the end it was incapable of seeing an alternative outcome and of making a true risk assessment of the political variables — reaffirming the Hillary Clinton camp’s own political myopia. This defines the parallel realities in which liberals, in their view of themselves, represent a morally superior character and Bannon — immortalized on Twitter as a white nationalist, racist, anti-Semite thug — the ultimate depravity of Trumpism.
Bannon also railed against the “donor class” which he also characterized as “ascendant America,” or people that live inside “the metrosexual bubble” of urban areas.
As for the charges that he is a bigot, he says, “I’m not a white nationalist, I’m a nationalist. I’m an economic nationalist.”
He describes himself as “Thomas Cromwell in the court of the Tudors.”
