Trans actress Alexandra Grey (Transparent, We Will Rise) gave a history lesson on the Stonewall Riots, Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera in a recent episode of Comedy Central’s Drunk History.

For those unfamiliar, the show has inebriated narrators recount an episode from the annals of American history.

Grey provides a hilarious account of what provoked the riots and the pivotal role played by Johnson in standing up to the police. “She had had enough that motherf—ing day,” Grey says.

Indeed she had.

Rainbows don't pay my bills

A small group of workers from the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, chanting “rainbows don’t pay my bills” gather in front of the Center to fight for fair treatment, working conditions, and better wages.

I guess one could say that the Center is showing their true colors and lack of PRIDE when it comes to employees.

Joe Jonas Opens Up About The Size Of His Manhood, Losing His Virginity & More

Joe Jonas (“former flat iron hair model”) participated in a Reddit Ask Me Anything Q&A on Wednesday, and the questions were as scrappy as you’d expect. People really did ask him pretty much anything (“Where can I find the best tacos in California?”), and his answers were surprisingly funny and good-natured.

Here are some highlights.

“How do you feel when fans call you daddy?”

I just hope their actual father isn’t reading their Twitter accounts. But I take it as a compliment…if you’re old enough to say that. I think you should at least be 18 to be able to say daddy to someone.

Did you have a boner 100% of the time while filming the Body Moves music video? What was your favorite part about filming? (I feel like there [are] definitely quite a few.) [Were] there any embarrassing moments? It’s definitely one of the sexiest music videos of all time. Tastefully sexy.

Thank you very much about saying it’s tastefully sexy. There was definitely some half chubbing going on during the video. I wouldn’t say a full blown boner, but I would say a haflie. I mean it’s kind of hard not to in that situation especially when you’re trying to be intimate, and also they put us in an elevator, me and Charlotte McKinney who I’m sure Reddit is very familiar with. They put her in an elevator with me and then they had kind of a hidden camera filming this whole time, and I had a great time doing the video.

Who did you lose your virginity to?

I lost my virginity to this girl named Ashley. You can probably just Google it. It’s pretty easy to figure out. I dated a girl named Ashley, so just Google it to figure out which Ashley that is. It’s quite the great story because I didn’t have any condoms, so I went to our drummer, Jack’s room, who was my roommate at the time and I demolished his room looking for them. Found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished because I was in dire need. Needed to happen then and now. Safety first, kids.

Is it true that [you’re] the Jonas Bro thats hangin’ the most meat in his skinny jeans?

I like to think so. Although, it’s not often that I’m in a locker room or shower with my brothers, so I couldn’t really tell you. But, I’d like the Internet to believe that I’m still killin’ it.

What’s up with Nick’s nipples, bruh? – shit is weird.

Nick’s nipples are not as big as they may appear. It did take multiple surgeries to get them down to a normal size. I think it was like 30-40 surgeries to just get them to a little quarter shape.

RIP Harambe.

P.S. Dicks out for Harambe.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how embarrassing is Camp Rock to you now?

Oh my god. My dance moves in CampRock were so terrible. I thought I was killing the game, too. Actually, Tyler The Creator posted it one day and I was like, “Oh, cool! Tyler thinks my dance moves are sick!” and I realized he was just totally calling me out for being a total dickhead and the way I danced, but respectfully. I think my flat iron hair and my squeaky voice are a little embarrassing. Also, I watch it now and realize it was so many years ago, it is really bad quality. It just reminds me of how much older I am now. I’m 27.

1-10 rating of how embarrassing CampRock is to me now, 10 being the most and 1 being the least, I’m going to give it a solid 8. When I see old merchandise from CampRock days or somebody is like, “Oh my god, CampRock is my jam”, I really have a hard time believing them.

Who is your man crush?

I have a few. One being Daniel Craig. I have had multiple Daniel Craig birthday cakes in my life. One was a photo of him coming out of the water from Casino Royale and they made it into a cake. Obviously, Matthew McConaughey is one, too. I think he’s the man. So, between those two, there’s a lot of man crushing going on.

Also, I’m pretty into this guy, Ken Bone, recently, tbh. He kind of takes top of the list for me. Depending on who he votes for.

C’mon Ken, we’re believing in you. Don’t let us down!

Oh, and here’s what you really want to know: Jonas is a fan of the tacos at Cactus Taqueria on Vine Street.

Bob Dylan Wins Nobel Prize; Remember That Time He Wrote A Gay Liberation Song?

Bob Dylan Wins Nobel Prize; Remember That Time He Wrote A Gay Liberation Song?

dylan-ginsberg

Hey, congrats Bob Dylan for winning the Nobel Prize in literature! We may not always be able to understand your wobbly voice, but people seem to like what you do and the prize committee says you “created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition,” so hip hip hooray.

Now’s probably a good time to mention how you played a role in the gay liberation movement, along with fellow fascinating weirdo Allen Ginsberg. It was called “Jimmy Berman (Gay Lib Rag),” and it’s about Ginsberg trying to date an 18-year-old. (He would have been in his mid-40s at the time.) So, that’s maybe not a fantastic premise for a gay liberation song, but we’re willing to hear it out.

If you listen to it (below) it sounds a bit like the childish Brian Wilson “Vegetables” song, only about drugs and sex. Here’s a sampling of the lyrics:

Eighteen-year-old Jimmy, the boy is my delight
Eighteen-year-old Jimmy, I love him day and night
Now I know I’m getting kinda old to chase poor Jimmy’s tail
But I won’t tell you other, love, it’d be too long a tale

Jimmy Berman, please love me, I throw myself at your feet
Jimmy Berman, I’ll give you money, oh, won’t that be neat?
Jimmy Berman, just give me your heart and yeah! your soul
Jimmy Berman, please come home with me, I would be whole

“We Shall Overcome” it isn’t, but hey not every liberation anthem can be a hit.

At any rate, now we have a Nobel Prize just one degree away from the timeless art of seducing teenagers.

Keith Olbermann: Trump’s Meltdown Isn’t a Strategy, It’s Psychosis – WATCH

trump meltdown

Keith Olbermann explains that Donald Trump’s latest antics are not part of some concerted campaign strategy but rather are evidence of a kind of psychosis.

Said Olbermann,

“There have been Trump tweet storms before and Trump rages before and even Trump attacks on other Republicans before but this one has taken on a kind of ‘Mister Smith’s Evil Twin Goes to Washington’ quality. It has gone deeper and deeper into a kind of campaign psychosis and yet it is being treated as if it were some kind of campaign strategy.”

Chefs for Equality Participants Announce “Taste for Equality” Cocktails to Benefit HRC Foundation

Organizers of HRC Foundation’s annual Chefs for Equality food and cocktail event announced that six D.C.-area restaurants are pledging to donate a portion of their proceeds from the month of October to the HRC Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest LGBTQ civil rights organization.

Participating establishments are each serving a “Taste for Equality” specialty cocktail, and 25 percent of the proceeds will be donated back to the organization.

The following restaurants include:

For the fifth consecutive year, Chefs for Equality will bring together the capital region’s top chefs, pastry chefs and mixologists for an evening of food, cocktails, music to benefit the fight for full LGBTQ equality. The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. in the West End. In addition to impressive fare, an extraordinary auction to help raise critical funds will also be held.

Following the introduction of The Equality Act last year, this year’s Chefs for Equality theme is “Equality Street USA” in response to the deluge of anti-LGBTQ bills filed across the country. Despite tremendous progress made, LGBTQ people still face unfair and unjust discrimination in far too many places throughout the nation. And with more than 200 anti-LGBTQ pieces of legislation introduced in 34 states this year, the work of HRCF is more important than ever before. Even with nationwide marriage equality, 31 states lack explicit protections against discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
