Barefoot Grooms’ First Dance Is Definitely Something To See
And just like that, a pair of gay grooms enter your life, totally barefoot and armed with jaw-dropping choreography.

How better to enter the married chapter of your life than with a not-so impromptu dance-off set to the tune of Emeli Sande’s “Next To Me”? Besides being shot out of cannons and waving Pride flags as you whiz in triumphant arcs through the air?

Columbia Student Claims He Was Reported To Gender-Based Misconduct Office For Calling Himself “Handsome”
A recent Columbia grad claims he was taken to task by the school’s Gender-Based Misconduct Office for jokingly referring to himself as “handsome” during Chinese class in the Fall of 2014.
“I am the living manifestation of the evil white cis patriarchy,” he writes sarcastically in The Tab.
One somber autumn morning, I took the opportunity to call myself handsome in Chinese. W? h?n shuài, I uttered in my unchecked malevolence and without care for cultural norms or general moral principles.

The next day, his professor requested he stay behind after class. Later, he was told his comment had upset a student and was hence reported to the Gender-Based Misconduct Office.
“She told me if I want to make those jokes, I should come to her office hours to do so,” he writes.
Later, he was scolded by his advising dean and told that referring to himself as handsome was “unacceptable.”
He defiantly told the dean that they “are doing the wrong thing and going after the wrong people in the name of fairness and justice.” He got the impression that she was too frightened to ever challenge Columbia’s overly PC culture.
The following Monday, he was asked to attend a “re-education” meeting at the Gender-Based Misconduct office, where he was told by the case manager that his “white privilege was playing a major factor in my lack of clarity into the depravity of my actions.”

What has he learned from this bizarre scenario? “The human toll of ‘triggered’ culture is a serious matter,” he writes.
I cannot help but feel for those who are deeply embedded in it, or rely on it for food and shelter. Furthermore, by reporting my innocuous statement, serious matters like sexual harassment and assault are trivialized and victims end up neglected. That is unacceptable.”
The worst part of it, he thinks, is that whoever complained “was able to report me and potentially cause damage to my own educational experience and future with full anonymity.”
Later that week in Chinese class, Sweetwood was asked to use a new sentence structure to talk about things that made him upset, and he decided upon:
“I get upset when I get reported to Gender Misconduct by my classmates.”
Donald Trump Reacts to Mike Pence Spending ‘a Little Time on My Knees Every Day’ – WATCH
During last night’s vice presidential debate, Mike Pence said, “I try to spend a little time on my knees every day.”
Donald Trump reacted (in a genius video cobbled together by someone who remembered that Trump had spoken out on that topic in the past).

Stephen Colbert Rips Mike Pence’s Anti-Gay Record in VP Debate Wrap-Up: WATCH
At the open of his show, Stephen Colbert noted that before last night, Americans hardly knew anything about the vice presidential candidates, but said the debate was lacking in edge: “It was like watching a loaf of white bread get pistol whipped by a jar of mayonnaise.”
And though the debate only made one tiny mention of LGBT rights, completely ignoring Pence’s anti-gay record, Colbert made it the centerpiece of his monologue last night.
Said Colbert:
“As governor, Pence’s record was marked by his ‘religious freedom’ bill that allows businesses to refuse service to gay customers on religious grounds, because, as Jesus himself said, ‘Get out of my pizza parlor, you queers.’”
Colbert also looked at “some surprising admissions from cultural conservative” Pence, before playing a clip of the Indiana governor saying, “I try to spend a little time on my knees every day.”
Quipped Colbert: “Apparently, Mike Pence is also very close with Vladimir Putin. Fair warning, Mike. Indiana businesses can now refuse to serve you! Your law is your law.”
Finally, Colbert made light of the other odd statement from Pence:
“And when Kaine mentioned Trump’s insults of Mexicans for the fourth time, Pence had the perfect comeback.”
Colbert: “That Mexican thing! It has a name governor! I call it Pedro!”

NYT Also Saw Missed VP Debate Opportunity in Kaine Ignoring Pence’s Anti-Gay Views
Rachel Maddow wasn’t the only one who saw a missed opportunity to point out a black anti-gay spot in Pence’s career. The NYT pointed it out too:
Overlooked: Gay Rights
Mr. Pence’s most controversial moment as a national figure — and the biggest stumble of his political career — came after he signed a law in Indiana that critics had warned would allow businesses to discriminate against gay men and lesbians. Facing an enormous backlash, Mr. Pence first defended the law and then walked it back. The episode seemed likely to tarnish him as a national figure in a lasting way.
But neither Mr. Kaine nor the debate moderator, Elaine Quijano of CBS News, raised the issue Tuesday night. The lone mention of gay rights came when Mr. Kaine noted that Mr. Putin “persecutes L.G.B.T. folks and journalists.” Mr. Pence now appears likely to escape the 2016 election without any extensive airing of this formative moment in his career.
The paper’s other takeaways? Trump and Pence have and uncomfortable split to deal with on Putin, Kaine seemed to channel Biden’s debate style, but didn’t pull it off as well, the nuclear issue could be a difficult one for Trump-Pence to overcome, and how ‘traditional’ the debate seemed overall.
