bondiPAY FOR PLAY. Pam Bondi wasn’t the only attorney general investigating Donald Trump that Trump then sent money to: “From 2001 to 2014 Donald Trump donated to a dozen attorneys general – or candidates running for that office – “while they weighed decisions affecting his business, a review of his political donations shows,” The Wall Street Journal reports.”

VP DEBATE. On Mike Pence’s much-talked-about ‘win’ last night: “But Pence and his dreadful positions on everything from Syria to abortion don’t make him a winner for the people affected by those policies.”

CLIMATE CHANGE. Questions that candidates for president should have to answer.

IN THE ZONE. BDSM may help relieve stress: “How? A new study conducted by researchers over at Northern Illinois University found that BDSM sex (you know, “50 Shades” style bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism) works to increase mindfulness, a hyper awareness and acceptance of the current moment.”

TEASE. Taylor Lautner gives Ellen a very tiny peak of his abs.

THE QUEEN OF IRELAND. Panti Bless reflects on her impact on culture and LGBT rights: “If you’d said it to me 10 years ago, I would have looked at you. It’s pretty wild how queer Ireland has become.”

TREY PEARSON. The out gay Christian rocker reflects on Mike Pence’s frequent attacks on LGBT rights: “Gov. Pence got one thing right last night – society will be judged by how it deals with its most vulnerable. Too bad he’s built a career on marginalizing the least among us, and is a part of a campaign founded on the oppression of women, LGBT individuals and people of color. If we do not believe in hate, name calling or bullying, we should not vote for it. That’s why I’ll be voting for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine.”

New interracial couple emojis are here: “Created by Focus Features, the keyboard extension was inspired by Richard, a white man, and Mildred Loving, a black woman. “Loving,” in theaters on Nov. 4, tells the story of the couple’s fight to legalize interracial marriage in their landmark 1967 U.S. Supreme Court case Loving v. Virginia.”

POLLS. Hillary Clinton surges to 10 point lead in new national poll.

US VS. UK. Comparing gay adult film searches in Britain and her former colonies: “The data shows that straight men dominate the top searches in the UK, with “straight first time”, “straight”, and “straight friend” taking the top three places…This is in comparison to the United States, where “straight first time” still takes the top position, but “big black dick” and “black” finish off the top three.”

RACISM. Drag queen Shangela addresses controversy over owner of Philly gay bar Icandy referring to black patrons as ‘n—ers.’

BRIAN SIMS. The out PA rep shuts down some political BS.

Stephen Port Drugged, Sexually Assaulted, and Killed Four Gay Men He Met Online, Court Hears

Stephen Port Drugged, Sexually Assaulted, and Killed Four Gay Men He Met Online, Court Hears

Stephen Port gay serial killer

Trial has begun for Stephen Port, the London man charged with murdering four gay men after drugging them with GHB, and sexually assaulting eight others.

The Independent reports:

Mr Port is accused of 29 charges including four murders, seven rapes, four indecent assaults and administering a substance with intent. It is alleged he secretly drugged 11 out of his 12 victims to render them unconscious. He denies all the allegations against him.

At trial today, the court heard that Port, who used Grindr and other hook-up websites to meet his victims and lure them to his home, was obsessed with ‘drug-rape’ pornography and filmed himself having sex with the victims while they lay unconscious.

Port drugged his victims by spiking their drinks or injecting drugs into their bodies.

The BBC adds:

The victims were: Anthony Walgate, 23, originally from Hull, Gabriel Kovari, 22, from Lewisham, Daniel Whitworth, 21, from Gravesend, Kent, and Jack Taylor, 25, from Dagenham, east London.

Prosecutor Jonathan Rees QC said the defendant was attracted to smaller, boyish men he referred to as “twinks” who he would invite to his one-bed flat on Cooke Street in Barking.

The jury heard the accused lied to police about his involvement with the dead men. The bodies of all four victims were found near on in a churchyard about 400m from Mr Port’s home.

Prosecutors said that Port tipped off police to his first murder victim, Mr. Walgate, by reporting that he had collapsed outside his apartment.

The Guardian reports:

“The prosecution say this is a case about a man – the defendant – who, in the pursuit of nothing more than his own sexual gratification, variously drugged, sexually assaulted and in four cases killed young gay men he had invited back to his flat,” Rees said.

…He had the propensity “to render young gay men unconscious with drugs without their consent so he could have sex with them in that state. That was his particular inclination, his particular fetish, and what turned him on,” said Rees.

The jury heard that Port used a range of drugs: poppers or bottles of amyl nitrite; viagra; M – also referred to as Meow Meow; T or Tina, a name for crystal meth; and G, either GHB or GBL in its liquid form.

The trial will continue.

Playboy Donald Trump Playboy

Donald Trump’s appearance in several Playboy videos has come to light. Two new videos following one that emerged last week were uncovered today by CNN KFILE’s Andrew Kaczynski.

CNN reports:

CNN’s KFILE has now uncovered two more Playboy videos in which Trump makes an appearance, including one in which he is depicted photographing fully clothed models with a Polaroid camera and conducting an interview with a potential Playmate.

In that video — a 1994 VHS tape obtained by CNN titled “Playboy Centerfold” — Trump takes part in Playboy magazine’s search for its 40th anniversary Playmate.

The scenes featuring Trump do not contain nudity or sexually explicit content, but other scenes in the movie depict fully nude women seductively rubbing themselves in different scenarios.

In one scene, Trump interviews a potential model, asking her what qualities she possesses that would make her the right choice for the 40th anniversary cover.

Watch:

Kaczynski tells Jake Tapper:

“I think voters watching this are going to maybe take from it that Trump had basically said of Machado was ‘She’s disgusting, you should check out her sex tape when all she had really done was this sort of grainy, Big Brother-style reality tv sex. Whereas Trump has actually been on the cover of Playboy, he did events with Playboy, he was in these videos, very benignly, but he was in these erotic Playboy videos so I think people might think that’s a little bit hypocritical on Trump’s part.”

Tim Kaine’s Faith Leads Him to Embrace LGBTQ Equality, Pence Uses His to Deny It

Tim Kaine’s Faith Leads Him to Embrace LGBTQ Equality, Pence Uses His to Deny It

This post originally appeared on The Huffington Post.

Last night, Mike Pence and Tim Kaine faced off in the vice presidential debate, tackling issues ranging from foreign policy to reproductive rights. While the two candidates have many contrasting views, one of the starkest is how each views LGBTQ equality. As the two candidates went head-to-head, LGBTQ rights remained the elephant in the room.

Yet, one of the loudest, clearest messages Trump sent to the LGBTQ community was selecting Mike Pence as his running mate. While Trump may try to wriggle out of his anti-LGBTQ positions, Pence has a long history of loudly and proudly opposing our equality and our dignity. Following the debate, it’s important to take a look at where both candidates stand on the rights and dignity of LGBTQ Americans.

Notably, both Pence and Kaine cite their deep faith when talking about their approach to LGBTQ equality. Kaine says his faith has provided him a path to embracing LGBTQ equality. Pence uses a trumped-up faith argument to deny the dignity and equality of LGBTQ people.

Pence, an Evangelical Christian who was raised Catholic, calls LGBTQ equality a “radical social agenda“ that would have “a chilling effect on religious expression, from the pulpits, in our temples, in our mosques and in our churches.”

Conversely, during a speech at the Human Rights Campaign’s recent National Dinner, Kaine said, “Who am I to challenge God for the beautiful diversity of the human family? I think we’re supposed to celebrate it, not challenge it.”

As someone who grew up in the Midwest, grateful for my parents’ sacrifices for my Catholic education, I have to say Kaine is much more in step with the values my Catholic family raised me with – and with the majority of people of faith in this country. Among American Catholics, 58 percent support marriage equality — one of the most significant margins of support among any religious group in the United States. What my parents taught me as the cornerstone of our faith “whatsover you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me…” is not recognizable in the words or actions of Trump and Pence.

As members of Congress, and as governors, both VP candidates have made decisions that directly affected the lives of their LGBTQ constituents. Here’s a snapshot of the actions taken by each:

Sen. Tim Kaine

  • Sen. Kaine’s first executive action as governor of Virginia was signing an order banning discrimination against state employees on the basis of race, sex, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, age, political affiliation, veteran status, or disability.
  • As governor, he opposed a state constitutional amendment to ban legal recognition of same-sex couples. Kaine has advocated for full federal equality as senator and joined the amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court declaring the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) unconstitutional.
  • He co-sponsored legislation to repeal the discriminatory DOMA.
  • He has advocated for passage of the Equality Act to provide comprehensive federal non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ Americans.
  • Because of these actions, Kaine’s advocacy on behalf of LGBTQ people has earned him a 90% rating from the Human Rights Campaign.

Gov. Mike Pence

  • Gov. Pence became a national disgrace in 2015 for his “license to discriminate bill“ that could have allowed businesses to deny service to LGBTQ people — and subsequently defended the bill over an outcry from the business community and a majority of Hoosier voters. Indianapolis’s nonprofit tourism agency estimated that in their city alone, Pence’s anti-LGBTQ bill cost the state up to 12 conventions and 60 million in lost revenue.
  • Pence opposes both federal marriage equality and Department of Education guidelines supporting transgender students. In a speech, Pence said that marriage equality would signal a “societal collapse.”
  • When serving in Congress, he voted against the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, calling it a “radical social agenda.”
  • He opposed funding to treat HIV unless it was offset by cuts to programs that he claimed “…celebrate and encourage the types of behaviors that facilitate the spreading of the HIV virus.” Pence instead preferred funding harmful conversion therapy programs that would seek to change “sexual behavior.”

Pence’s addition to Donald Trump’s ticket has made it the most overtly anti-LGBTQ presidential ticket in history, while Hillary Clinton’s choice of Kaine ensures that Clinton-Kaine is the most pro-equality presidential ticket ever. The two are light-years away from each other when it comes to issues of equality.

Pence uses his faith as a tool to deny equality. Kaine embraces equality precisely because of his faith. While many issues were debated by the two candidates last night, it has never been more clear who is standing on the right side of history when it comes to issues of fairness of LGBTQ equality.

You’ll Almost Definitely Want To Hear About The Time Robbie Williams Got A Handie In A Castle

screen-shot-2016-10-05-at-4-47-23-pm

Things get off to a rollicking start when Graham Norton asks UK pop star Robbie Williams, “What’s the maddest thing a fan has given you?”

“Herpes,” he deadpans.

And the next thing you know, against his better judgement, Williams begins telling a brilliantly sordid tale that involves waking up in the castle to find a deeply strange woman at the foot of the bed that “could have been anywhere from 29 to 59.”

To hear Williams tell it, she looked on the floor where his underwear was crumpled and asked, “Calvin Kleins?”

“Yeah,” he said.

Her response? “Pussy.”

Of course, that’s when she offers to take care of his morning wood —  he says “Yes.”

We wouldn’t dream of giving away the twist at the end.
