Former gay adult film star Brent Corrigan sat down with Davey Wavey to talk about the gay adult entertainment industry, why he stepped away from it, and about James Franco’s movie based on his life, King Cobra.

Corrigan, aka Sean Paul Lockhart, joined Wavey as part of the YouTuber’s “Business of Sex” series.

Corrigan told Wavey that working in gay adult film “is a way of life.” He added, “It’s a day in and day out thing, cultivating fans, traveling.”

On why he stepped away from the gay adult film world, Corrigan said, “A couple of years ago I got to a point where [gay adult film] wasn’t giving me what I thought it would. I stepped back and thought – what would make me happy? For me, my passion was always horses. I went back to jumping with horses.”

And though Corrigan is not currently acting in gay adult videos, he says he’s not retired.

As for King Cobra, the movie produced by James Franco based on Corrigan’s rise to fame and the murder of gay adult film producer Bryan Kocis, Corrigan said, “I didn’t want to be a part of that film if they weren’t going to tell my story. I read the script – and it wasn’t my story.”

Corrigan does, however, plan to tell his version of events in a tell-all book. “I am being brave and I’m self-publishing my book. I’m aiming for an October 31st release date, on my 30th birthday,” he revealed.

This Dude Wants To Start His Own Country For Gay People, No Heteros Allowed

This Dude Wants To Start His Own Country For Gay People, No Heteros Allowed

“We need a cultural and political centre, where we can develop new, better ways of gay living that are more suited to our nature,” LGBTQ activist Viktor Zimmerman tells Vice in a new interview.

That is why he is proposing a new country exclusively for gay people, no heteros allowed… OK, OK, maybe some heteros can live there, but, Zimmerman insists, “their numbers will be limited and they will not be in charge.”

“Bringing gay people together in a creative and affirmative environment will release a tremendous energy,” he proclaims. “Thousands of gay artists, writers, sculptors, filmmakers and songwriters will be brought together in one spot. There would be no more cultural oppression from the hetero; all the public spaces would be decorated with gay artwork.”

Zimmerman adds that his new gay city-state will also provide “a safe haven for millions of gay people” who are currently living in “dangerous circumstances.”

“Our purpose is to establish a free, independent and democratic gay state,” he says. “We strive to initiate one or more self-administrated settlements for gay people, and look to promote their economic, cultural and political development.”

And where will this all-gay country be located? Zimmerman isn’t sure yet, but, he says, “it should be somewhere where there is sufficiently cheap and habitable land available in a warm climate by the seaside.” He’s thinking maybe some place in South America would be nice, or “a friendly Buddhist country in southeast Asia.”

He continues: “The next step would be taking a long-term lease on a moderate-sized territory from an existing country. The territory will be used to establish a settlement on conditions of extraterritoriality. Legally, it would still remain the territory of the host country, but we could administrate it according to our own laws.”

And as for keeping the population from dying off, Zimmerman says immigration will be key.

“We all know how gay babies are made–there are millions of them being born into this world year by year, without any effort on our side,” he explains. “All we need is for a fraction of them to pack their stuff together and move to the gay state.”

Zimmerman is convinced that if enough LGBTQ people sign on to his project, they can actually make it happen. Like, for real.

“Legally, the foundation of the gay state is viable,” he says. “There have been precedents for the establishment of new states via treaties, such as the creation of the Vatican state, and there have been multiple legal precedents for the peaceful acquisition of land. There have also been precedents for international recognition of non-territorial sovereign entities, such as the Order of Malta.”

“We are confident that one day gay people will have territorial control over a sovereign territory.”

12-Year-Old Boy Has Incredible Showdown With 11,000 Homophobes

“At first I thought the child was only playing,” says photographer and journalist Manuel Rodriquez, who captured the exact moment a 12-year-old boy leapt in front of a crowd of 11,000 people protesting the proposed same-sex marriage law in Mexico.

Talking to Regeneración, Rodriquez explains that when he asked the anonymous boy what he was doing, the child responded, “I have an uncle who is gay. And I hate that people hate.”

A proposal by President Enrique Pena Nieto’s would finally introduce same-sex marriage to the country.

The demonstration was organized by the (unfortunately named) National Front for the Family, an organization that’s against same-sex marriage. They’ve also collected 10,000 signatures of people against the proposal.

The surreal scene took place in the streets of Celaya.

Illinois Man Willing To Be Fired for Refusing to Watch LGBT Diversity Training Video: WATCH

A Social Security Administration employee in Illinois has retained a lawyer after he refused to watch an LGBT inclusion video, citing religious freedom.

Champaign-based David Hall has been suspended without pay for two days and says he is expecting to be fired.

According to IllinoisHomepage.net, Hall said:

“I can’t be any more sorta Christian than you can be sorta pregnant.

“They wanted me to certify that I had completed the training. I’m not going to certify sin.

“My complaint is more with the fact that it was mandatory. We have never done that for another particular class of people. This is the only group of individuals that we’ve done it for. We haven’t done it for veterans, the disabled, blacks, Hispanics, or anything else.”

“I would argue that it’s not a training video. It’s promoting an agenda and a lifestyle that I simply don’t agree with.”

He added that he has LGBT friends and family members and has “no animosity towards anyone.”

In a statement, the regional Social Security office said:

“In support of an inclusive work environment, as well as exemplary customer service, the Social Security Administration recently announced a diversity and inclusion training on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Community to our employees.  This mandatory video training reminds our employees of their responsibility, as representatives of the agency, to provide the highest levels of service to our customers.  The training includes a brief session on tips for increasing cultural awareness in a diverse and inclusive environment.  We are unable to comment on specific personnel matters.”

Federal worker, David Hall, of Tolono, Illinois, would rather be fired than watch LGBT diversity video. So see ya! t.co/RPiDAn1D1g

Hall will be represented by Chicago attorney Jason Craddock who also represented Timber Creek Bed & Breakfast after the owners refused to allow a same-sex civil union on the premises in 2011. In March, Timber Creek’s owners were ordered to pay a fine of $80,000.

Orlando Pulse Survivor Chris Hansen Delivers Powerful Message on 3-Month Anniversary of Shooting: WATCH

Chris Hansen

Today, September 12, is exactly three months since 49 lives were taken at the Orlando Pulse nightclub in the largest mass shooting in U.S. history. Survivor Chris Hansen talks about his experience in a new video from the Guns Down campaign.

Asks Hansen:

“I don’t know if you have a group of friends that you go out with. But when you go out with them, you never think, ‘is this the last time I’m going to have a sip with them, or is this the last time I’m going to dance with them?”

He adds: “I remember standing up against the wall with a drink in my hand. I had just ordered at the bar. I heard the fire, shots. Pop. Pop. Pop. You could hear screaming and you could see glasses shattering at the bar.”

Hansen talks about crawling outside, and realizing he was safe, and then going to help others who were wounded. He says the experience changed him forever.

“The boy who I was, that loved to relieve stresses by drinking with friends and listening to loud music and dancing wildlly and crazy on the dance floor. That sense of love and feeling is no longer there.”

Hansen wonders, as many of us do, why assault weapons are in the hands of people who should not have them.
