‘Kill All Gays’ Pastor Steven Anderson Deported From Botswana For Homophobic Hate Speech: LISTEN

Steven Anderson, the “kill all gays” Arizona pastor who celebrated the Orlando massacre because there are “50 less pedophiles in this world,” has been deported from Botswana, a country that criminalizes homosexuality.  Earlier this month, Anderson was barred from entering South Africa after more than 60,000 people signed a petition opposing his visit.

The doctrinal statement for Anderson’s Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe says that “homosexuality is a sin and an abomination which God punishes with the death penalty.”

During a radio interview on Tuesday in Botswana, he said that the Orlando victims were “disgusting homosexuals who the Bible says were worthy of death.” He also called for pedophiles and adulterers to be killed and said that the Bible barred women from preaching in church.

Following the interview, Botswana’s President Ian Khama told Reuters:

“He was picked up at the radio station. I said they should pick him up and show him out of the country. We don’t want hate speech in this country. Let him do it in his own country.”

In 2014, Anderson compared gay people to ax murderers and Hitler and claimed that all gay people are “basically rapists.

Perfect illusion video Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga debuted her “Perfect illusion” video on Tuesday night during Scream Queens on Fox. For the clip, Gaga ditches the theatrical productions we’ve seen in past videos like “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” for a hyperkinetic dance in the middle of the desert with cameos from her co-producers BloodPop, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, and Mark Ronson. The video was directed by Andrea Gelardin and Ruth Hogben and produced by Keeley Gould.

The track made its Billboard Hot 100 debut at #15 this week, lower than the lead singles from her two previous albums “Applause” (6) and “Born This Way” (1).

Perfect illusion, the lead single from her forthcoming studio album Joanne, wasn’t chosen by her as the lead single, she told IHeartRadio Countdown:

“I actually didn’t choose it. I write the music and make the music and sing music, but I didn’t choose the single. The single was chosen by the record label and a lot of people that work with me. We all decided as a team and together that we liked it as the first song. It’s not necessarily an example of the rest of the record. But it has a strong fire to it. I love the statement. I love what it’s talking about. It feels to me like a message that is timeless, but also really modern to how we experience love nowadays. It’s so hard to know if people are real or not with social media and the Internet.”
