WATCH: Pentatonix CRUSH A Capella “Jolene” With Dolly Parton Herself
Rarely is there mediocre a capella.
Done right, and it has the power to lift and inspire — the human voice is capable of that?!
Then there’s the other camp, and we use “camp” intentionally. It’ll make you say “could you put something else on?” faster than a Christian am radio station in rural Mississippi.

Luckily, the Pentatonix know what they’re doing.
Below, watch as Dolly Parton joins the group for a modern spin on “Jolene”:
Craig Jungwirth, World’s Worst Gay, Indicted For Threatening Orlando-Style Attack
Craig Jungwirth, World’s Worst Gay, Indicted For Threatening Orlando-Style Attack
Craig Jungwirth mugshot.
Our hearts go out to the family, friends, and victims of Craig Jungworth, in a bizarre Florida story that’s just sad any way you look at it.
For some time, Craig (who has been identified by community members as gay) has been exhibiting troubling, inexplicably hostile behavior, but now it’s crossed a line and he’s finally in custody where he can hopefully get help — and won’t be a danger to others.
“None of you deserve to live,” he wrote recently on Facebook. “If you losers thought the Pulse nightclub shooting was bad, wait till you see what I’m planning for Labor day.”
He also wrote “you can never catch a genius from MIT” and “I have a better solution to exterminate you losers.”
One local bar owner said that Jungworth was captured on video vandalizing his property. According to police, he has a history of stalking, harassment, trespassing — nothing too surprisingly, given his pattern of behavior. You will probably not be surprised to hear that there is at least one restraining order against him.
Previously, Craig took command of Beach Bear Weekend, but local news reported that he pocketed a bunch of money and harassed the Sisters.
If convicted, Jungworth could go to prison for five years, plus a quarter million dollar fine. It’s unclear how a mental health plea would affect his case. But with this indictment, hopefully Florida — and Craig — are a little safer now.

SNL Adds Gay Latino Comic Julio Torres to Writing Staff – VIDEOS
Saturday Night Live has just added gay Latino comedian Julio Torres to its writers room for the upcoming season of the late night sketch show.
The news comes on the heels of SNL announcing that this year’s cast will include the first Latina cast member in the show’s history.
The upcoming season will also be the first time that an out gay man has been the head writer for SNL. Other People director Chris Kelly was named one of the show’s two head scribes last month.
Mic reports on Torres’ background:
Torres has previously starred in two web series on the digital platform Más Mejor, a Latino-themed comedy site started by SNL alums Fred Armisen and Horatio Sanz. He’s also a much-lauded comedian who has been named one of Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch, one of Just for Laughs’ New Faces and a finalist for the Andy Kaufman Award, according to Brokelyn.
Torres has also previously worked as a guest writer for SNL.
Speaking with Brokelyn, Torres said that he prefers to make fun of things he loves rather than what he hates. “If ever I’m making a joke about Cate Blanchett, it’s because I like her so much,” he explained. “When there is stuff I don’t like, I don’t talk about it, because why would I?”
Torres also says that while being gay and Latino figure into his identity, the label he feels a stronger affinity to is ‘Space Prince’:
“I’ve never been good or too interested in making jokes about or having material about being Latino or being gay or any of those things. They’re very much part of who and what I am, but I feel like the one sort of label that I do feel a strong creative connection with — because I do feel a connection with the other two in other ways — but creatively what I do feel connected to is the idea of being from elsewhere.”

NBA Star Steph Curry Says North Carolina’s Anti-LGBT Law Needs to be Changed – VIDEO
NBA Star Steph Curry Says North Carolina’s Anti-LGBT Law Needs to be Changed – VIDEO
NBA star and Charlotte native Steph Curry has called for North Carolina to change its anti-LGBT bathroom bill, HB 2.
In an interview with the Associated Press, Curry remarked that it is “unfortunate” that HB 2 has drawn so much attention to the Tar Heel state. He also says that he is for “equal and fair rights for everybody.”
Curry said that he believes North Carolina will continue to be dogged by HB 2 until lawmakers do something to change the bill.
“I think it’s unfortunate for our city and our state to be under the microscope with HB2 and how it’s unfolded. I’m all for equal and fair rights and treatment for everybody. Until it gets addressed, until some changes are made, this could be a recurring theme in North Carolina. I don’t want that happen.” […]
“The All-Star Game has been moved, the NCAA Tournament, things that would bring so much joy and support to the city, mainstay events. But I think it’s a conversation that will continue until changes are made. I don’t have any answers as to how that will happen, but hopefully it happens sooner rather than later.”
Curry’s comments come in the way of the NCAA and the ACC this week pulling championship events from North Carolina over the discriminatory law. As Curry noted, the NBA has also pulled the 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte because of HB 2.

CBS Sports writer Ananth Pandian noted that Curry remained silent about HB 2 last March when the issue first grabbed the national spotlight. “Curry isn’t taking a real hard political stance here,” Pandian says, “but he is advocating for change. With his star stature in the NBA, he should hold a lot of weight in North Carolina.” He adds, “Only time will tell if the state repeals or makes significant changes to HB2. As long as star athletes like Curry keep speaking out against it, the law continues to be a bad look for North Carolina.”
