Remember Lucian Wintrich?
He made everyone go “ugh, what” a few weeks ago with a photo project called “Twinks for Trump,” featuring scantily-clad guys wearing Donald Trump hats.

Well, he’s once again in the news, though not for having done much of anything: NBC posted a new video interview with him, which finds him complaining about how hard it is for gay conservatives to voice their opinions.
Of course, it’s not difficult for conservatives to talk — they’re free to say whatever they want, just as everyone else is free to point out that they don’t make any sense. Certainly it’s bizarre that a queer person would support Republicans, the party that shrugged its shoulders as tens of thousands of gay people died during the worst of the HIV epidemic.
It’s also the party that fought to keep LGBTs from adopting, that tried to keep us out of the Army, that thinks employers should be allowed to fire us.

And it’s the party that still, to this day, endorses ex-gay abuse and the withdrawal of marriage equality. Don’t forget, Mike Pence literally defended the right of foreign powers to round up and kill queer people. And Donald Trump has said repeatedly that he’s opposed to marriage equality — do you think he has any plans (as Hillary does) to uphold nondiscrimination protection, end conversion snake-oil, revise the service records of soldiers discharged under DADT, or increase investment in the Global Equality Fund?
So it’s a little hard to see the satire in the Twinks For Trump photos. (On the other hand, it’s a bit easier to get the joke of the Twinks 4 Trump twitter account, an unrelated project that was started by someone else.)

Lucian also reveals that he was fired from his day job after his project got media attention.
With any luck, he’ll be able to challenge that dismissal — thanks to laws that protect workers from discrimination.

Singer/songwriter Sam Tsui and singer/musician Casey Breves have documented their recent wedding with a brand new single, “This Promise,” and accompanying music video that lets their fans experience their big day for themselves.

The newlyweds released the video on Tsui’s YouTube channel, which has over 2.5 million subscribers. Tsui rose to fame uploading music videos and covers to YouTube starting in 2008.
“It has been so awesome to share more of myself this year with all of you, and this video is perhaps one of the most special and personal I’ve shared with you yet,” Tsui writes in the video’s description. “As many of you know, I got married in April to the amazing Casey Breves, and wanted to share a little bit of that day with you because I really do consider you, the #Samily, to be a kind of family that means so much to me.”
Tsui came out in a video in April of this year, where he also dropped the news about his relationship with Breves.
“Please enjoy this virtual invitation to our wedding, and the single we wrote to accompany it – it’s an anthem about the power and timelessness of love,” Tsui writes.

Unhinged right wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and his friends at Infowars are offering for sale a charming t-shirt (above), the reverse of which bears an American flag and the message “The Most Patriotic Way To Say F*ck You!”
The site boasts that “with every purchase, a social justice warrior cries.”
The description of the shirt reads, “LIBERTY, GUNS, BEER, and TITS. Say it 5 times fast.”

InfoWars’ anti-LGBT t-shirt debuted just days after the Donald Trump campaign started selling LGBTQ for Trump t-shirts.
And Trump and InfoWars’ Alex Jones have been known to have a close relationship. Trump has appeared on Jones’ show and, according to Media Matters, has talked personally with Jones in recent weeks.

Witness the Birth of Gay Adult Film Giant Falcon Studios in New Doc ‘Seed Money’ – TRAILER
If you’ve ever wondered about the history of the gay adult film industry, you’ll want to check out a new documentary, Seed Money, that chronicles the founding of iconic gay erotic entertainment company Falcon Studios.
Seed Money tells the life story of Chuck Holmes who founded Falcon and ended up becoming a force in the gay rights movement. Before Holmes came onto the gay adult scene, gay adult films were pretty terrible in terms of quality. But Holmes, who had a background as a photographer, would revolutionize the form and also help shape gay identity (and gay preconceptions about body image) for years to come.
Later in his life, Holmes became a major contributor to gay advocacy groups like the Human Rights Campaign and the LGBT Victory Fund, realizing that doing so was good for business and helpful in securing a legacy for himself. However, later in life he would come to find that, while his money was welcome in philanthropic circles, he sometimes wasn’t.
Seed Money has played a host of prestigious LGBT film festivals including Frameline, Outfest and NewFest.

Should “Finding Prince Charming” Acknowledge Robert Sepúlveda Jr.’s Escorting Past?
As we reported yesterday, the star of LOGO’s Finding Prince Charming, essentially a gay version of The Bachelor, came clean about his escorting past in an interview with Huffington Post‘s Noah Michelson early this week.
Though not particularly pleased to be confronted with the question, Robert Sepúlveda Jr briskly acknowledged his previous dalliances with sex work, saying, “The past is the past. I was young and it helped through college.”
An op-ed piece by E. Alex Jung published yesterday by Vulture argues that the show shouldn’t sweep his hustling days under the rug, but should incorporate them into the narrative of the show.
“Finding Prince Charming wants to have it both ways,” he writes.
They wanted a bachelor who looked like a porn star to activate the trashy, libidinal desires of gay men, but they didn’t want him to talk about it once they realize he might actually have been one. It’s the Madonna/whore complex, but for gay men. Indeed, what may make Finding Prince Charming interesting isn’t Sepúlveda himself, but rather the era the show represents: when marriage is not just a possibility for queer people, but an obligation.”
Meanwhile, commentators on our original story went ballistic in regards to Sepúlveda, claiming he’s a disgrace to the community. And though we find such accusations ridiculous, close-minded, and borderline evil, Sepúlveda certainly didn’t do himself any favors during his interview with Vulture, saying, “What I want the show to do is unify the community. That’s what we should we doing.”
Riiiiight. Because anonymous comments such as these paint “the gay community” in a very favorable light.
Anyway. Our question is this: Should LOGO incorporate Sepúlveda’s escorting days into the show, or should they continue to sweep them under the rug?

There are your rough days, and then there are the days you’re so hopped up on Xanax, GHB, and cocaine that you try escaping a jet by opening the emergency exit door mid-flight.

New York nightlife personality Jordan Fragiacomo, an assistant at the Matinee party and a barber who works out of Hell’s Kitchen, was evidently having one of those days on Monday: He caused quite a scene during his flight from New York to Seattle.

An unlucky passenger named Shohana Godwin wound up sitting next to Fragiacomo, and revealed to Seattle news channel KIRO 7 that “he kept stopping to go into his bag and then I watched him take a pill out of his bag.”
Meanwhile, he kept babbling about having to “cancel his flight and get off the plane, and just was kind of speaking a little gibberish.”

The New York Post reports that flight crew had to restrain Fragiacomo since he was “babbling incoherently and attempting to kiss two flight attendants.”
“If you continue to restrain me,” Fragiacomo allegedly told the flight attendants, “there’s going to be problems.”
And there were indeed problems: The jet’s pilot was ultimately forced to make an emergency landing at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 9:45am EST.
As Elite Daily reports, one passenger recorded the incident and posted the footage to Twitter:

Later, Fragiacomo confessed to authorities that he’d consumed GHB, cocaine, and Xanax three hours before the flight.
As NewNowNext reports, Fragiacomo once worked as a go-go boy at the now-shuttered Chelsea club Splash. Oddly, when asked for his personal identification, he instead showed officers a website that advertises his haircutting skills, including a “hot shave in the privacy of your home.”
After the incident, Fragiacomo was taken to Fairview Southdale Hospital Minnesota.
