Former Corbin Fisher model turned CNN producer Matt Null died earlier this week while on vacation in Barcelona.

According to Str8UpGayPorn, Null got his start in adult entertainment 12 years ago, appearing in scenes as “Austin” on Corbin Fisher from 2004-2005. He later went on to work as a producer for “On the Record With Greta Van Susteren” at Fox News before becoming a senior producer at CNN.

Null had been working for the network’s morning show, “Early Start,” for the past three years. On Wednesday, the show’s anchor, Christine Romans, shared the news with viewers.

“It is with a heavy heart that we report tragic news of one of our own this morning,” a teary-eyed Romans said. “A cause of death has not been revealed.”

“He is literally the voice in our head every morning. When terrible things happen around the world, he is the one who brings it to you with calm and fairness,” she added. “He is someone who really made a difference in the world through his job.”

The cause of Null’s death has not yet been released. He was 34 years old.

Pat McCrory Calls NBA Decision to Pull All-Star Game ‘Politically-Correct Hypocrisy Gone Mad’

Pat McCrory Calls NBA Decision to Pull All-Star Game ‘Politically-Correct Hypocrisy Gone Mad’

nba

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory on Friday blasted the NBA for pulling its 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte over the the state’s anti-LGBT ‘bathroom bill’ HB 2.

Earlier in the day, the NBA announced that New Orleans would be the new host of the All-Star Game after North Carolina legislators failed to make significant changes to HB 2.

McCrory’s Communications Director Josh Ellis released a statement on his behalf. Ellis and McCrory criticized the NBA for pulling the game from North Carolina when it plays in games in China, a country with an abominable record on human rights.

Said Ellis, “According to his own statements, Commissioner [Adam] Silver has no credibility in telling America that he’s more ‘comfortable’ playing a basketball game in the People’s Republic of China with its oppressive human rights record, rather than the 9th most populous state in the U.S.A.”

Ellis added of the NBA’s decision, “This is another classic example of politically-correct hypocrisy gone mad. We are proud that Louisiana has joined 21 other states that are fighting for basic privacy expectations for our children and families in school restrooms, locker rooms and shower facilities.”

McCrory has previously called the NBA’s decision “total PC BS.”

The Daily Show Finds Out If Trump Supporters Would Pass ‘Extreme Vetting’ Gay Rights Test – WATCH

The Daily Show Finds Out If Trump Supporters Would Pass ‘Extreme Vetting’ Gay Rights Test – WATCH

extreme vetting gay rights

The Daily Show correspondent Jordan Klepper went to a Donald Trump rally to find out if Trump supporters would pass the “extreme vetting” that Trump proposed for immigrants coming to the U.S.

As previously reported, Donald Trump says Muslim immigrants must be able to prove that they support equal rights for women and gays in order to be allowed in to the country.

But is support for equal rights for women and gays even popular among Republicans?

Klepper put Trump-ers to the test. He asked one man to finish this sentence: “Gay marriage is ________.” His answer? “Disgusting.” “Actually the answer is legal in the United States,” Klepper responded. To which the man retorted, “It’s legal but I don’t like it.”

Another woman said gay couples shouldn’t have the same rights as heterosexual couples. “I don’t think it’s fair,” she said. “The regular couple they worked so hard. And the gay couple wants more.” Klepper interjected, “When you say more, do you mean equal?” “Yeah,” she answered.

And it turns out, Trump rallies aren’t exactly bastions of feminist support. Or just clear-headed thinking in general.

Watch, below.

Viral Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Recruitment Video Terrifies the Internet – WATCH

Alpha Delta Pi sorority

If sororities and fraternities scare you, this viral video isn’t going to make you feel any better.

What was intended as a recruitment video by the heads of sorority Alpha Delta Pi at the University of Texas at Austin ended up being a terrifying display of, um, sisterhood?

Via The Cut:

As an introduction, three young women — Maddie, Haley, and Jean-Marie — stand at the formidable doors of their sorority house. They’ve been waiting for you. They fling the doors open, revealing a room packed to the brim with screaming sorority sisters. Their screams will haunt you, but not as much as their wiggling fingers, their manic chants, and the disembodied arms clapping in the background.

Scariest shit I’ve ever seen on twitter pic.twitter.com/XejVxn2lwB

— ITSBIZKIT (@itsbizkit) August 18, 2016

In case the original isn’t terrifying enough, someone remixed the video depicting the super awesome super peppy super spirited sorority gals opening the gates of hell. Actually, that’s pretty much what the original feels like too.

ALL-STAR GAME. NBA chooses New Orleans for 2017 All-Star game after moving from Charlotte over North Carolina’s discriminatory HB 2. “Unlike several other Southern states, Louisiana has not been swept up in legislative efforts to pass laws similar to that in North Carolina – a fact Gov. John Bel Edwards has touted while lobbying the NBA to bring its All-Star weekend to New Orleans for a third time.”

2016 ELECTION. Why isn’t Trump tweeting about the Olympics? “The spectacle of America vanquishing its global rivals is—ironically, amazingly—utterly terrible for the ‘America First’ candidate. A big part of his political message, the one you hear at his stump speeches, is that America has grown weak. America doesn’t win anymore, he says. “Crippled America” is the title of his most recent book. He alone can Make American Great Again. As someone who’s been around a few campaigns, believe me: The Olympics is about the worst thing that could have happened to the Trump train.”

Bill ClintonCLINTON FOUNDATION. If Hillary wins, they’ll stop accepting foreign and corporate donations: “Should Clinton win the White House in November, the foundation will accept donations only from U.S. citizens and independent charities, The Associated Press first reported. Former President Bill Clinton told staffers about the change during a meeting in which he also announced that the Clinton Global Initiative will hold its final annual meeting next month and that he will resign from the foundation’s board, the spokesman confirmed.”

KATRINA PIERSON. Trump spokeswoman claims Hillary has brain disease: “Trump has long claimed that Clinton lacks the physical stamina to be president and has stated repeatedly that she takes weekends off to catch up on her sleep. But Trump and his campaign have not directly engaged with conspiracy theories, circulated on ultra-right wing blogs and talk shows, that Clinton’s health is badly deteriorating and that the media is complicit in a cover-up.  There is no evidence to back those claims up and Clinton’s physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, has repeatedly stated that the former secretary of State is fit to serve. ”

RURAL SUMMIT. Iowa confab looks at how to make life better for LGBT people in rural Iowa. “There weren’t gay people that you knew of,” Bryan Huff recalled of his days growing up in Madison County, “In fact, you didn’t know what ‘gay’ was. You just think, well, you have feelings. You just think all these people have feelings. Obviously, you’re not supposed to express them, because no one else does.”

VIDEO OF THE DAY. Coldplay “A Head Full of Dreams”.

Rio 2016, Day 13 Report: Brilliant British Brothers, and the Beautiful Brazilian Boys

Rio 2016, Day 13 Report: Brilliant British Brothers, and the Beautiful Brazilian Boys

logoIt’s hard to believe that Rio 2016 has other news other than LochteGate and his apology. But, no worries. We got you covered.

Athletes woke up to a hot and sunny day in Rio yesterday. At 11am, 56 men ran across the sands of Copacabana into the water of the famous beach as the Olympic men’s triathlon got officially underway.

After a 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km, and exactly one hour, 45 minutes and one second later, favorite Alistair Brownlee of Great Britain crossed the finish line, becoming the first triathlete to defend his Olympic title. Six seconds later, his brother Johnny Brownlee — bronze in London 2012 — joined him, and won the silver.

“We’ve done it,” one of them said – before they grabbed each other’s hands.

In a thrilling final at the men’s field hockey tournament, Argentina — or Los Leones — played Belgium and won the gold with a 4-2 victory.

Los Leones have always been the sideshow to the acclaimed women’s side, Las Leonas, who medaled at the previous four Olympics. But the Leonas never won Olympic gold, reported the Associated Press.

We were very happy to see the team celebrating right after the match. But it was even better to see their celebration when they got to the locker room.

When wrestler Risako Kawai of Japan won the gold medal  in the freestyle 63kg class, she celebrated by slamming her 56-year-old coach Kazuhito Sakae onto the mat.

Twice.

Then she used her neck and shoulders to lift him up and the duo walked around celebrating Japan’s fourth gold in wrestling.

American Ashton Eaton won decathlon gold and became the third man to retain the title, after Great Britain’s Daley Thompson and US’s Bob Mathias.

“To win two Olympic golds in a row like Daley Thompson is very special,” the 28-year-old told reporters after the win. “One day, I’m going to have to meet Daley, shake his hand and thank him for giving me something to chase after.”

Kevin Mayer of France took the silver, and Damian Warner of Canada won the bronze.

Usain Bolt won the 200m final — his eighth gold medal — and he’s now just one gold away to reach his “triple triple” goal: winning the gold for the 100m, the 200m and the 4X100m races, in three Olympic games.

He certainly gets a gold medal for confidence (and possibly the very last place in modesty.)

In a dramatic women’s 4x100m relay Team USA dropped the baton, Brazil and China were disqualified and the four Americans ran the race again, hours later, by themselves.

During the second leg of the race, Allyson Felix was about to hand off the baton to teammate  English Gardner when a Brazilian runner inadvertently touched her on the elbow. Felix tripped, and the baton was dropped.

Team USA protested after the race, and the women were allowed to run again in the evening. They did, their time qualified them for the final, but disqualified China, which occupied the final position.

In men’s beach volleyball, Alison Cerutti and Bruno Schmidt of Brazil overcame pouring rain in Rio and beat Italy 2-0 to win the gold medal.

During the second set Italy had a 4-point lead, but Brazil was able to equalize the score at 14-14 and Cerutti’s “monster block” helped the duo close the deal. It was way past midnight when the crowd in the packed arena — drenched from the pouring rain — went wild.

It was Brazil’s second gold medal in men’s beach volleyball since Athens in 2004.
