Debbie Wasserman Schultz Booed Off Stage at Breakfast with Florida Delegates

Debbie Wasserman Schultz Booed Off Stage at Breakfast with Florida Delegates

Debbie Wasserman Schultz booed

Outgoing DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz made the puzzling decision to speak to a group of Florida delegates at a breakfast in Philadelphia ahead of today’s Democratic National Convention.

The appearance comes less than a day after she announced she’ll resign over revelations contained in the release of emails by Wikileaks which showed that certain top Democratic National Committee officials looked for ways to potentially damage Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign.

Wasserman Schultz was booed and met with cries of “shame, shame, shame” as she tried to speak to the delegation.

Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell Return in Trailer, Clip for ‘Prison Break’ Reboot: WATCH

Prison Break

New footage from the reboot of Prison Break starring Wentworth Miller debuted over the weekend at San Diego’s Comic-Con, as well as a new trailer.

The clip shows a gay prisoner who faces death at the hands of his fellow inmates for homosexuality, and Miller’s attempt to help him out by getting a plot rolling with a stick of gum. It’s set in Morocco.

Writes Coming Soon:

The original action drama centered on Michael Scofield (Miller), a young man determined to save his convicted brother, Lincoln Burrows (Purcell), from death row by hatching an elaborate plan to escape from prison. In the all-new event series, filmed on location in Morocco, clues surface that suggest a previously thought-to-be-dead Michael may be alive. Lincoln and Sarah (Sarah Wayne Callies), Michael’s wife until he was assumed dead, reunite to engineer the series’ biggest escape ever, as three of Fox River State Penitentiary’s most notorious escapees, Sucre (Nolasco), T-Bag (Knepper) and C-Note (Dunbar), are pulled back into the action.

John Oliver Gives the Republican Convention the Recap It Deserves: WATCH

John Oliver Gives the Republican Convention the Recap It Deserves: WATCH

On Last Week Tonight, John Oliver took a look at last week’s main event, the “mismanaged s**tshow” that was the Republican National Convention, from Melania’s plagiarized speech to Ted Cruz getting booed off the stage.

Oliver takes note of this tweet:

Wow, Ted Cruz got booed off the stage, didn’t honor the pledge! I saw his speech two hours early but let him speak anyway. No big deal!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 21, 2016

Remarking: “But that’s not reassuring. If the captain of the Titanic had tweeted after the fact, ‘I saw that iceberg two hours before and sailed into it anyway. No big deal,’ you wouldn’t have thought ‘wow that captain sure ran a tight ship.”

Oliver thought the convention emphasized feelings over facts, such as when Antonio Sabato jr. stated that Obama is a Muslim, not because it’s fact, but because he believes it.

“This focus on feelings reached its apex in Donald Trump’s acceptance speech, which was light on concrete policy, but heavy on provoking strong emotions.”

Oliver concludes:

“It is worth noting that since President Obama took office, crime rates, the flow of illegal immigrants flowing over our borders, and unemployment benefits have all declined, and yet frighteningly, when reporters starting pointing that out, it didn’t seem to matter.”

Finally, Oliver brings up an old clip from The Apprentice which reveals what Donald Trump’s governing style will really be like.
