“You F*cked With The Wrong Queen”: Tituss Burgess Bitches Out Moving Company On Yelp

Don’t blame it on the Pinot-Noir.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Tituss Burguss has taken to Yelp to call out moving company Franks Express (sic), with whom he’d recently shared a highly unpleasant volley of texts.

So he did what anyone in their right mind would do: tweeted the entire conversation — in which the movers call him a “fucking faggot” — to his 49,000 followers:

Burgess was not about to take this lying down. No. He dragged them for filth on Twitter:

Later, to demonstrate the full range of his unstoppered rage, Burgess posted a video to Instagram and recounted the whole fracas, informing Franks Express that they “fucked with the wrong queen.”

Trump Feels “Very Good” About GOP’s New Explicitly Antigay Platform

Trump Feels “Very Good” About GOP’s New Explicitly Antigay Platform

Of course, in a million years, no sensible person would support Donald Trump’s candidacy for president — and yet, every now and then, we can see his appeal as a person who speaks his mind, rather than indulging the mass hallucinations of politics-as-usual.

The latest fun, or not-so-fun, Trump news: he really doesn’t care what’s in the party platform, including the wildly homophobic language that caught nobody but the Log Cabin Republicans by surprise. Trump, of course, has aligned himself extensively with homophobes.

Related: Why Donald Trump’s Flirtation With White Supremacists Is Really Bad For Us

It’s sensible for him not to care, of course, because the platform really does not matter that much. It’s just attractive window dressing, like that of Diane Lane’s character in the movie Lady Beware. But the dressing itself goes largely ignored, unlike that of Kim Cattrall’s character in Mannequin.

“Right now, the platform is largely a Trump platform!” he told Fox News. This isn’t exactly right — the platform is far more specific than trump has ever been, and quite a bit more hostile to anyone who is not a straight white Christian. But the actual document itself is pretty meaningless, now more than ever, since the party’s nominee is just going to do whatever he feels like doing. So as rudders go, Trump’s a lot stronger than whichever conservatives wrote up the platform.

At one point, the interviewer pointed out that the party platform opposes medical marijuana, and Trump seemed surprised, as if he hadn’t actually read it. He almost certainly has not. Why would he? He didn’t come here to make friends. Though, he added, “I think what’s happening with the platform is very good.”

But we’ll see how Trump’s likely running make, Mike Pence, handles this kind of talk. Trump just signaled this morning that he’ll be campaigning with Pence (who, you’ll recall, signed Indiana’s loathsome turn-away-the-gays bill). As a career politician, Pence is far more likely to adhere to the party line.

Cleveland Sticks It to Republican National Convention with Trans-Friendly Ordinance: VIDEO

Cleveland Sticks It to Republican National Convention with Trans-Friendly Ordinance: VIDEO

ransgender bathrrom sign

A week before hosting the Republican National Convention, city officials in Cleveland, Ohio have passed legislation allowing transgender people to use public bathrooms that match their gender identity.

During council hearings in 2014, proponents argued that transgender people often suffer harassment and sexual assault when forced to use restroom facilities that do not match their gender identity. Some said they avoid using public facilities altogether to avoid public confrontations.

According to cleveland.com, the legislation updates current laws that allow private business owners with public restrooms to dictate which bathroom a person should use, “provided reasonable access to adequate facilities is available.”

The proposed legislation initially made a violation a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by a $1,000 fine or 90 days in jail. The amended version requires that complaints be filed with the Cleveland fair housing court. Ignoring civil penalties – which would be left to the discretion of a municipal judge – would trigger a first-degree misdemeanor charge.

The new legislation does not require businesses to build separate facilities or change restroom signage.

Watch the pro-trans ad set to air on FOX News during next week’s convention below.

“Take Your Pants Off”: Cops Investigate Bizarre Hate Crime Video

“Take Your Pants Off”: Cops Investigate Bizarre Hate Crime Video

Screen Shot 2016-07-14 at 10.45.48 AM

“To think that somebody would be so brazen that they could point the weapon in the face of an unsuspecting citizen and then post it on social media — as if the Detroit police are going to stand idly by and do nothing.”

That’s Sgt. Michael Woody of Detroit police, commenting on their investigation into a potential hate crime in the wake of a bizarre and disturbing video that was recently posted online.

Heavy reports investigators are currently trying to track down the perpetrator and the victim. A man posted video footage on Twitter featuring him wagging a gun at a man he believes to be gay. To make matters worse, the suspect later posted another video featuring him bragging about the incident.

During the confrontation, which occurred outside Detroit’s Brightmoor liquor store, you can hear the suspect say, “‘Take your motherfucking pants off, n****r,” and then, “Gay-ass n****r.”

Thousands of people have viewed the video since it was posted on Twitter Tuesday evening by a man who goes by the handle @binswanson.

In the smartphone footage, you see a man point a gun at another man as he exits the store, erupting into a series of gay and racial slurs.

The description of the 32-second video, which quickly went viral,  is simply “I hate gay n*****s.”

Police are currently investigating, but admit they have no idea who the victim is.

Kim Davis Loses Yet Again, Appeals Court Denies Her Request To Have Antigay Record Cleared

Kim Davis Loses Yet Again, Appeals Court Denies Her Request To Have Antigay Record Cleared

kim-davis-crying

Another loss for Kim Davis.

The infamous Rowan County Clerk dedicated all of last summer to denying same-sex couples their legal right to marry despite the Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality. This summer, she’s spending her time trying to scrub that illegal antigay behavior from her official record.

Related: Kim Davis Is Trying To Rewrite Her Antigay History; Too Bad The Internet Remembers Forever

Last month, Davis’ lawyers filed a motion with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, where she’s been fighting a contempt order against her for nearly a year, to vacate the ruling and put the whole matter–everything–all of it–including the part when she stood in front of a jailhouse, raised her hands to the sky and declared herself a martyr–to bed.

Well, unfortunately for Team Davis, that won’t be happening.

Yesterday, the court declined her request. The three-judge panel determined that the district court judge’s September contempt ruling against Davis was justified and that Davis’ motion didn’t meet the legal requirements to have it vacated.

Sorry, girl.

Related: This Piece Of Work Is Suing Kim Davis For Not Letting Him Marry His Laptop

The court did, however, throw her a little bone by lifting an August 2015 injunction against her for refusing to issue any marriage certificates that bared her name, but only because the law she broke is being changed. Earlier this year, Kentucky lawmakers passed a bill removing clerks’ names from the state’s official license form. That law will go into effect on Friday.

Despite clearly not winning their case, Davis’ lawyers put out a statement calling the ruling a “final victory” for them.

“The injunctions are gone and Kim Davis received the accommodation that she requested,” Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, said. “County clerks are no longer forced to compromise their religious liberty and conscience rights.”

Despite being over and done with, for some reason we don’t think this will be the last we hear from Kim Davis.

Notorious RBG Apologizes for ‘Ill-Advised’ Trump Remarks

Notorious RBG Apologizes for ‘Ill-Advised’ Trump Remarks

trump rbg

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (aka the Notorious RBG) is walking back her criticism of Donald Trump, saying her remarks about the Republican nominee were “ill-advised.”

NBC News reports:

“On reflection, my recent remarks in response to press inquiries were ill-advised and I regret making them,” Ginsburg said in a statement issued by the court. “Judges should avoid commenting on a candidate for public office. In the future I will be more circumspect.”

Ginsburg slammed Trump three times in the last week, referring to him as a “faker” who “really has an ego” and “has no consistency about him.” She joked she might move to New Zealand if he were elected president.

“I can’t imagine what this place would be — I can’t imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president,” Ginsburg, 83, told the New York Times in an interview published online on Sunday.

Donald Trump blasted RBG for attacking him, saying she should step down from the Supreme Court immediately and that ‘her mind is shot.’

Justice Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court has embarrassed all by making very dumb political statements about me. Her mind is shot – resign!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 13, 2016

He also insisted Ginsburg should apologize to him and vowed that if he is elected he would “swamp” Justice Ginsburg with “real judges and real legal opinions.”

Is Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg going to apologize to me for her misconduct? Big mistake by an incompetent judge!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 13, 2016

If I win the Presidency, we will swamp Justice Ginsburg with real judges and real legal opinions!
