Amy Poehler helped her friend Carrie Brownstein officiate an impromptu gay wedding at a stop on Brownstein’s book tour in Pasadena, California.

Brownstein (whom you may recognize from Portlandia) was promoting her memoir, Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl, at the Central Presbyterian Church in Pasadena when two fans asked them if she would marry them. Brownstein agreed and Poehler decided to help out by being the musical accompanist. Via Vulture: “‘All of us here are rooting for you,’ [Brownstein] said. ‘We root for the two of you to make each other feel the biggest, strongest, most special you ever felt.’ And then Amy Poehler played ‘Greensleeves’ on the piano.”

WATCH: Kentucky Gay Couple That Fought Kim Davis Get Married

The gay couple caught on tape enduring a series of emotional encounters with renegade Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis are now legally wed. And fittingly, there’s video of their happy day.

David Ermold and David Moore were married Saturday at Morehead State University, according to the school’s newspaper The Trail Blazer

Video of their attempts to obtain a marriage license, recorded inside the Rowan County clerk’s office, quickly went viral. Davis cited God as a higher authority than the Supreme Court.

The two actually got married in a quick private ceremony shortly after getting their license, out of fear it would be revoked, then planned this larger ceremony and invited friends and family. April Miller and Karen Roberts, plaintiffs in the case against Davis, also held two wedding ceremonies, worried the clerk would invalidate their marriage licenses. Miller and Roberts attended the men’s wedding.

“Everything about it has been public, it kind of had to end that way,” Ermold told the paper. “If same-sex marriage is still an issue five years from now, I want people to be able to be open about who they are and not be afraid of who they are. This is the only life we get.”

Watch below as Ermold and Moore tie the knot on a sunny day surrounded by loved ones, courtesy of MSU’s The Trailblazer.

Carrie Brownstein And Amy Poehler Just Spontaneously Wed A Lesbian Couple

Carrie Brownstein And Amy Poehler Just Spontaneously Wed A Lesbian Couple

And you thought celebrity book readings could be so mundane.

Watch Carrie Brownstein and Amy Poehler officiate an impromptu wedding for a lesbian couple during such an event.

Amid a Q&A session Tuesday at Pasadena Presbyterian Church for Brownstein’s reading of her memoir “Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl,” two women in the audience asked Brownstein, an ordained minister, to marry them on the spot, US Weekly reported.

Egged on by Poehler, Brownstein agreed. Poehler, of “SNL” and “Parks and Recreation,” provided comic relief on the piano, while Brownstein, the musician and “Portlandia” star, winged it beautifully as the officiant. She told Kendall Oshiro and Genevieve Hernandez, “All of us here are rooting for you.”

The two then exchanged their vows and Brownstein announced them married.

The Huffington Post reached out to Poehler and Brownstein for comment and we’ll let you know if we hear back.

In the meantime, congrats to the happy couple!

Thousands of people turned out for Halloween New Orleans presented by Avita Pharmacy. The bewitching weekend celebration included a black tie silent auction and wine raffle, neon party, brunch with Thelma Houston, and a walking parade down Bourbon Street, with 100 percent of the profits from the volunteer-run event going to Project Lazarus, dedicated to providing healthcare and support services to people living with HIV/AIDS in New Orleans. But it was Saturday night’s epic “Fall Of The Pharaohs” Egyptian-themed party sponsored by Absolut that drew the biggest crowds and best costumes.

Kelly Clarkson and Josh Groban took on the duet “All I Ask of You” from Andrew Lloyd Weber’s The Phantom Of The Opera and the result is stunning.

The performance was excerpted from Groban’s PBS special airing in December in which he covers classic songs from the Broadway canon.

Before the performance, Kelly Clarkson shared that she, like so many young girls (and boys), wanted to be Christine after seeing Phantom as a child.

Watch the chilling duet and be sure to look for some LOL-worthy audience member reactions, below:
