Muslim drag queen sent death threats after Channel 4 documentary

Muslim Drag Queens aired last night to critical acclaim, a Channel 4 documentary that examined the lives of gay men and trans women who perform in a way that some view as completely opposite to their religion.

The main star of the show, Asifa Lahore, boy name Asif, was seen at drag shows, performing as well fasting during Ramadan and reading the Qu’ran.

He said he received emails from people saying: ‘You call yourself a Muslim, you should be ashamed of yourself and killed’.

But Lahore received other messages during the show, threatening that they are ‘going to find [him] and kill him like ISIS would’.

Others branded the show ‘disturbing’ and claimed it is not possible to be both Muslim and gay.

‘Absolutely repulsed by the “Muslim” drag queens on channel 4. No place for that in Islam at all. The sharia is perfect &needs implementation,’ a Twitter user added.

Lahore posted a message on Twitter, giving a ‘fuck you’ to every single hateful message.

In a statement to Gay Star News, a Channel 4 spokesperson said: ‘The contributors agreed to take part after extensive discussions about what appearing in the programme would involve and how much this would likely elevate their profiles.

‘They wanted to speak out in this documentary to challenge the negative views and preconceptions held by many in their own wider communities and they courageously agreed to do this despite knowing it would likely provoke further unpleasant criticism.

‘They all viewed the final film some weeks ago and fully support its broadcast. The filmmakers remain in constant contact with the contributors and their support networks.’

Colorado Republican says gays and pedophiles caused by different kinds of demons

Republican Colorado House of Representatives member and former military chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt has responded to claims that he believes all gay men are potential pedophiles – explaining he believes that different satanic forces are behind each phenomena.

Klingenschmitt was responding to criticism of his opposition to gay adults being allowed to serve in leadership roles in the Boy Scouts of America which he characterized as ‘allowing adult homosexual men to sleep in tents with young boys and become scout leaders.’

‘All the gay groups are saying “not all the gays are child molesters!” I never said that,’ Klingenschmitt said in a recent episode of his ‘Pray In Jesus Name’ program.

Klingenschmitt then went on to explain that, while gay people and child molesters are possessed by different kinds of demonic entities, a person could be possessed by both at the same time.

‘There are clearly two different demons at play here,’ Klingenschmitt explained.

‘There is, of course, a demon of homosexuality in those who openly parade their sodomy in the streets. But then there’s a different demon of child molesting that is inside some of these reported molesters’

However Klingenschmitt then claimed that past cases of child abuse within the Boy Scouts of America can only be attributed to gay men as there were no female molesters involved.

‘I’m not saying that all of the homosexual are child molesters, I never claimed that,’ he repeated.

‘But I’ll tell you in this case, all the child molesters in the Boy Scouts are homosexual. And how can I tell that? Very simple, it’s logical, there were no girls in the tents.’

Klingenschmitt was elected to serve the 15th district seat in the Colorado House of Representatives in a landslide victory with 70 percent of the vote during state elections in 2014.

This is not the first time he has claimed that homosexuality is linked to demons.

Klingenschmitt’s comments were uncovered by RightWingWatch.org, a project of the group People For The American Way.

Antigay Christian Pity Party Depicted In New Ted Cruz Campaign Video

Your fave homophobic business owners and Ted Cruz have teamed up to produce a video depicting themselves wallowing in self-pity discussing the alleged war on Christianity taking place in America.

“Today, the U.S. government is forcing people of faith to violate their beliefs on marriage and sexuality,” claims the video, featured on Cruz’s Youtube channel. “Across the country, Americans are being told to change their religious beliefs or lose their livelihood.”

The video features woe-inspiring interviews with popular antigay activists such Kelvin Cochran, the former Atlanta Fire Chief who was fired after publishing an antigay manifesto, and florist Barronelle Stutzman, who raised over $150,000 after she refused to sell flowers to a same-sex couple.

The 16-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis made the revelation by posing for the Self Evident Project – ‘a photographic document of 10,000 people in the USA that identify as anything other than 100% straight.’

‘I’m so proud of my baby girl @lilyrose_depp,’ project founder iO Tillett Wright wrote on Instagram.

ISIS throws NINE gay men off building in Iraq

ISIS militants threw nine men charged with being gay from a building in the Iraqi city of Mosul on Sunday (23 August).

The Islamic extremist group have branded LGBTI people the ‘worst of creatures’ and have claimed responsibility for at least 30 executions for ‘sodomy.’ They have not yet published photos of the latest killings as they have done previously.

‘Gunmen belonging to ISIS threw on Sunday nine civilians from the top of a high building in the city of Mosul after being accused of homosexuality,’ a source, who wished to remain anonymous, told IraqNews.com.

‘ISIS militants rounded up a number of citizens in the city to see the implementation of the judgment of the so-called Sharia judge.’

The United Nations Security Council was briefed on violence against LGBTI people by ISIS on Monday.

‘Given the extreme and constant forms of attack against LGBTI people we think it’s of the utmost importance for the Security Council to act urgently,’ said Jessica Stern, executive director of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission.

‘The heart of my message today is this: the international community must understand anti-LGBTI persecution as a component of how ISIS treats those it labels as “impure.” We must recognize that these threats exist on a continuum of violence and discrimination before, during, and after conflict.’

Lily Tomlin recalls taking charge as a kid when a door-to-door salesman duped her mother

In her acclaimed new film Grandma, Lily Tomlin’s character stands up for her granddaughter and for herself as they traipse across Los Angeles trying to get money for an abortion.

It wasn’t much of a stretch for the 75-year-old star to play someone unafraid of a confrontation – she’s been doing it all of her life.

Tomlin recalls a time when her mother felt forced to buy a vacuum cleaner for $300 from an aggressive door-to-door salesman.

The young Lily wasn’t having it.  She called the salesman and demanded he return to their home and give her mother her money back.

‘I was all piss and vinegar,’ Tomlin tells Huffington Post. ‘I was just cursing him and telling him that if he didn’t come I would throw it in the street.’

The salesman returned, but with an attitude.

‘He finally came out and said, “Your mother bought that vacuum cleaner” and all this stuff. And I pitched it out off the stairs. I was forever doing stuff like that. I just railed against it,’ she recalls.

It’s just the way she was.

‘In the early years, my mother would have been more concerned about what the neighbors — or the relatives in the South — would think. I was a Detroit kid, a street kid, so I was kind of tough. I would stand up for myself.’
