Taylor Alesena, Transgender Teen And YouTube Personality, Dies
Taylor Alesena, Transgender Teen And YouTube Personality, Dies
A 16-year-old transgender teen and YouTube personality has died after allegedly being subjected to intense bullying at the hands of her classmates.
Taylor Alesena made a name for herself on YouTube talking about her experiences with bullying and the loneliness she experienced at the hands of her peers. Now, the transgender teen has reportedly taken her own life, according to ABC 10 News.
In the above video, Max Disposit, executive director of the local LGBTQ Resource Center, speaks extensively about the cyber bullying Alesena experienced because of her transgender identity.
The following statement was released by the teen’s school district.
One of Fallbrook High School’s students tragically passed away during the spring break, on Thursday, April 2.
We are attempting to honor the family’s request for privacy while also helping our students and staff who have been impacted by this sad event. The district has had counselors on site to support our school community.
Fallbrook High has a continuum of appropriate services (social, emotional, academic) to ensure every student is supported and successful at Fallbrook High School. It is never easy when something like this happens, but we are working to move forward together and stronger than before.
Despite major mainstream strides for LGBT equality, transgender people still take their own life at a disproportionately alarming rate. Recently, a transgender teen in North Carolina who was crowned homecoming king allegedly took his own life after becoming an advocate for the trans community.

City On Edge After Man With Giant Black Rubber Dildo Terrorizes The Subways
City On Edge After Man With Giant Black Rubber Dildo Terrorizes The Subways
New York subway riders are reportedly living in fear after a crazed laughing man boarded a subway train and began terrorizing riders with a giant black rubber dildo.
According to Animal New York, the dong-waving man, dressed in a blue sweatsuit, was first spotted on the 2 train last Saturday evening:
An older man of indeterminate ethnic origin boarded the train at Atlantic Avenue; the man seemed “fucked up on some kind of drug,” loose-limbed and sloppy. Some young men sitting next to him began making fun of him. One of the dudes took out his phone to snap a selfie with the older guy. At that point, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a massive dildo.
Just how massive?
Massive enough to require two hands. It’s estimated the dildo was between 14-16″ long and uncircumcised.
Animal New York continues:
The man then started waving the big black dong around, pointing it at people and pretending to jerk it off. The man also kept standing up and clenching his butt cheeks.
But it gets worse:
Then he really got into it: Every time the train pulled into a station, he’d put the dildo away, sit quietly, let people board, then whip it out and wave it around, startling the new passengers.
One passenger had the good sense to whip out their cellphone and take pictures of the man in action. Here they are:
Animal New York is now trying to identify the man nicknamed the “Dildo Terrorist.” It is asking anyone who may have any information to please email [email protected].

OCCUPY THE DISCO (OXD) curates and recommends music events to the gay community in NYC—in an effort to move the focus of the nightlife scene beyond the promoter and venue and to the music itself. OXD’s goal is to educate, entertain, engage and empower the gay audience to reclaim their ability to question and experience the unknown. The OXD Mirror will serve to showcase tunes that are definitely off-the-beaten-path but rightfully deserve the attention of the gay ear.
This week’s post was written and curated by Ru Bhatt. Check out more of his music picks on his podcast, The Ru-Mix and on Made In Brazil.

Watch Tig Notaro Hilariously Deconstruct 'Goldilocks' With Jon Dore On 'Conan'
Watch Tig Notaro Hilariously Deconstruct 'Goldilocks' With Jon Dore On 'Conan'
“Porridge? Is this in the U.K.?”
When Conan O’Brien asked Tig Notaro and Jon Dore to come on his show and talk about their new comedy special/documentary, “Knock Knock, It’s Tig Notaro,” he figured they’d tell some stories about performing comedy in people’s homes, barns and basements (which they did). Instead, Dore decided to tell a story that everyone (minus Tig Notaro) is familiar with: “Goldilocks” or “The Story Of The Three Bears.”
Conan completely lost control of the interview as Dore told the story and Notaro interrupted him with questions to deconstruct the plot, such as, “There are bears in the house?” and “They can talk?” She also pointed out something that should have been pointed out a long time ago: how can you tell if someone sat in your chair?
But the funniest question might just be the one that Conan asked Notaro: “Where did you get that cheese?”
“Knock Knock, It’s Tig Notaro” premieres on Showtime on April 17.
