'How Homophobia Sounds To Normal People' Released By Girl Pants Productions
'How Homophobia Sounds To Normal People' Released By Girl Pants Productions
How ridiculous does homophobia sound to someone who is not an anti-gay bigot?
In this latest video from Girl Pants Productions called “How Homophobia Sounds to Normal People,” Alex Hluch and his team create a witty clip to show how ridiculous homophobic comments sound to people who aren’t prejudiced.
With quips such as, “I don’t care if they do yoga in their own homes but not in public! Keep that at home!” or “Have you ever tried not being left handed?” — this video is both intelligent and creative.
Girl Pants Productions regularly elevates conversations surrounding social justice issues by producing videos like this one. Want to see more from Girl Pants Productions? Head here to watch “How Racists Sound To Normal People.”
Presidential Hopeful Ben Carson Believes Prison Turns People Gay
Presidential Hopeful Ben Carson Believes Prison Turns People Gay
It’s starting. We’re still more than a year and a half away from the 2016 election and Republican Presidential hopefuls are already coming out of the woodwork to say all sorts of crazy shit about gay people.
Jeb Bush has proclaimed his vehement disapproval of gay marriage. Now, Ben Carson has hopped aboard the antigay bandwagon.
During an appearance on CNN with Chris Cuomo, Carson was asked if people have control over their sexuality.
“Absolutely!” the doctor replied.
When asked if being gay is a choice, he echoed his previous response.
“Absolutely!” he said. “Because a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight and when they come out they’re gay.”
Say what?
“Did something happen while they were in there?” Carson asked, rhetorically. “Ask yourself that question.”
“Most gay people never go to prison,” Cuomo replied.
“Here’s what’s important,” Carson said. “Why do gay people want to get married? Because they want various rights…Why can’t any two human beings, I don’t care what their sexual orientation is, why can’t they have the legal rights to do those things?”
“That’s what they’re fighting for,” Cuomo replied, sounding somewhat confused by Carson’s statement.
“Okay, that does not require changing the definition of marriage,” Carson concluded.
“But it would require covering that union as you do others which is called ‘marriage’ in our society,” Cuomo countered.
To which Carson simply shook his head and said, “I don’t think so.”

Rachel Maddow Gets Real On The Controversy Surrounding Hillary Clinton's Emails: VIDEO
Rachel Maddow Gets Real On The Controversy Surrounding Hillary Clinton's Emails: VIDEO
Yesterday, we reported on the controversy that has erupted over the revelation that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton exclusively used her personal email address during her tenure at the State Department. The news raised questions about whether such an action was a violation of any rules or laws but was also seized upon by Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush who demanded that Clinton follow his lead and release her emails because “transparency maters.”
Transparency matters. Unclassified @HillaryClinton emails should be released. You can see mine, here. t.co/wZbtwd8O2j
— Jeb Bush (@JebBush) March 3, 2015
On her show last night, Rachel Maddow was quick to skewer Bush and other Clinton critics, pointing out that Clinton is far from the only government official, elected or otherwise, who has used their personal email account for official business while in office. “Everybody does it!” said Maddow. Even Jeb Bush.
But what made Bush’s call for “transparency” even more hypocritical, is the fact that while Bush claims he has been transparent and released his emails from his time in office, he cherry-picked only 250,000 of the nearly 3,000,000 emails he received while Governor of Florida. How transparent is that?
Still, Maddow stressed that while singling Clinton out for using her personal email is stupid, “what isn’t stupid is what the rules and the law were when Clinton was Secretary of State.”

Big Freedia Gets Personal In New Episode Of 'Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce'
Big Freedia is giving fans an inside look at her quest to bring her New Orleans sound to the world with her Fuse series — and we’ve got a sneak peek!
According to press materials, the March 4 episode of “Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce” sees Big Freedia performing in Atlanta as part of her biggest-ever tour. Meanwhile, backup dancer Flash looks forward to a “life-changing” reunion with his birth mother.
The remainder of the season will see Freedia aiming for the top while her personal life heads “towards uncharted territory.”
Saying that the Bounce music scene “definitely connects all different walks of life” much like rap or hip-hop, Freedia told HuffPost Live last year, “I don’t want to be in a category. I just want to be me. I’m an artist, I’m human…respect me for who I am, no matter what my sexual preference may be.”
Take a look at a clip from the forthcoming episode at top, and read more about “Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce” here.

Trevor Moore Wants To Tell You About The Apocalypse That Ensued Once 'Gays Got Married' – VIDEO
Trevor Moore Wants To Tell You About The Apocalypse That Ensued Once 'Gays Got Married' – VIDEO
In a hilarious new video, actor, comedian and country singer Trevor Moore, spoofs all the crazy apocalyptic predictions right-wing wing-nuts make about how gay marriage will destroy the very foundations of society.
Moore, who currently has a show on Comedy Central called High In Church, released a good ole country tome about how the simple life was ruined once the gays got married. After that, “the crops dried up” and “the plant shut down.” And when “the gays started kissing”? Well, “the state said cool and they made all the kids be gay in school.”
In case that wasn’t bad enough, the gay then went airborne with gay spores that undermined all the heterosexual family units. Looks like Tony Perkins, Bryan Fischer, Mike Huckabee and their ilk were right. We stand corrected.
Watch for yourself what happens when the gays get married, AFTER THE JUMP…
